To Whom It May Concern;On November [redacted] 2013, Shiel Laboratory was acquired by a new company and a new tax ID number was in playWe were told by the insurance companies that they were able to change the number but we had trouble with United Healthcare carriersWe apologize for any inconvenience but had this been brought to my attention sooner I would have dealt with it thenI have closed out the claim for late filing since they did not fix the problem until June *, The claim is now a zero balance due.Respectfully, [redacted] ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
[redacted] was not my provider at the time of the medical checkup at Primary Care Medical. I had clearly stated that my provider had changed to the clerical staff at the doctor's office and had shown my insurance card. This matter should have been clarified by Shiel directly with them. I never requested that any bloodwork be sent to any third party lab. Even so, none of the communications from Shiel Medical Labs has at any time mentioned that Shiel had: a) sent a request to [redacted], b) been denied due to terminated coverage, or c) seeking my updated insurance information in order to invoice the appropriate insurance provider. Instead, the communications consisted only of invoices requesting immediate payment. Any communication from my end requesting clarification of why this was billed to me directly instead of the provider went unanswered, until I benefitted from the kind intermediation of the Revdex.com.At the time of the service mentioned in [redacted]'s email, my insurance provider was Cigna (Group #[redacted]). I trust that this should clarify the invoicing on Shiel's end. In any case, I submit that I should not be made responsible for the lack of diligence and/or responsiveness on the part of either Shiel Medical Laboratories or the doctor's office.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved becausePrior to me making the phone payment a rep by the name of Ann M[redacted] checked with accounting and confirmed that my check had not been received or I would not have made the payment and that a note was going to be placed on the account that the account was paid in full and that if the check showed up it would be destroyed this was not the case I have incurred $70 in bank fees due the the fact that this bank account was to be closed and there was not enough money in the account to cover the payment twice. Without them acknowledging that there was an error on their part I can not get my bank to waive the overdraft fees and I don't feel I should be responsible for their mistake when I was assured that this was going to be processed correctly.

I apologize on behalf of Shiel Holdings for the discourtesy of my telephone operator. The unfortunate reason you receive bills from us is because the requisition comes in with another insurance on it. I have taken the liberty to call the doctors office to confirm and receive your Medicare ID number...

Good Morning;This claim has been a chain of errors. First the doctor gave us Magnacare and the patient corrected that in July 2015 to bill Center Plan. Then we received the request for an ICD9 code and that was corrected in October 2015 but unfortunately the billing representative did not schedule...

This account was to be closed there was only enough funds in the account to cover: check # [redacted] - $100 check # [redacted] - $154.79 after the check was not cashed for a few weeks I called to see if payment was received but they just didn’t deposit the check and I was told that the check was not received and I wanted to close the account so I paid over the phone using the debit card for this account. I was told that the account was marked as paid in full and that if the check ever showed up it would be destroyed. I would have never paid the bill twice knowing that the account could not cover the amount and it wouldn’t make sense for me to intentionally pay the bill two times anyway. I am still waiting for the letter from the office manager to take to my back and still has not been received. Please see the attached showing the overdraft fees that caused 2 checks to bounce because of their error.

call us 2 years after the date of service with the insurance information and most insurance companies don't honor claims that old. Shiel Medical Laboratories should have never billed my insurance, period. My credit card payment was processed by [redacted] for all services using I[redacted] Industrial Account with Shiel Medical Laboratories. The Shiel sales representative to [redacted], Maureen D[redacted], has been contacted by me, as well as staff at [redacted] to resolve this issue. Maureen should have acknowledged the tests were ordered through [redacted] industrial account and that payment has been received, but she has failed to do so or even to return my call. Shiel Medical Laboratories has failed continuously and cannot be trusted to behave professionally. Their staff routinely hang up on me when I call them. I recommend any patient that visits a doctor's office that utilizes Shiel Medical Lab testing to demand that the doctor's office uses different lab or find a different doctor altogether. Shiel Medical Laboratories is a scam operation. Look them up on [redacted], or any other consumer-ratings site. They have an abysmal reputation. It is not worth it.

Good Afternoon;Shiel Holdings LLC is located in the [redacted] which is gated facility. The processing of mail takes a little longer than normal. The US Post Office delivers mail to the [redacted] Post Office for all their tenants like us. Now they have to sort all the mail by our unit...
numbers and this process can take as long as two weeks. On August [redacted] was speaking to one of the representatives here and making the payment with her bank card so that she can close her account. Shiel received check #[redacted] on the same day and processed it. Our deposits are sent by [redacted] straight to the bank located in [redacted]s so there was no way for us to stop the processing of this check. We refunded the credit card payment on Friday 9/*/2016 when this was brought to our attention (receipt attached). I will supply [redacted] with a letter to present to her bank. The claim was originally waived for deductible but back in 2014 we had a computer glitch that would occasionally open up claims and bill them out again in error. I apologize for the inconvenience and have zeroed out the claim.
This company is a scam. Do not pay any of the bills. They have a D- in the Better Business Bureu scorecard. Absolute scam.
Review: Shiel Medical Laboratory has been erroneously attempting to collect money from me since 5/**/14 for the amount of $3324.46. The bill was the product of lab services completed on 9/*/13. Shiel did not comply with the health insurance company's ([redacted]) policy of timely filing within 90 days of service and has refused to pay the bill. The lab has since contacted me for payment even after [redacted] stated neither they nor I am responsible to cover the charges. Every month I receive an invoice from Shiel for the above amount and every month I call [redacted] in the accounting department at [redacted] to tell them what [redacted] told me to tell them.Desired Settlement: Shiel needs to submit proof of timely filing in order to get the bill paid from the insurance company. I would like them to get this situated with the insurance company and stop sending these invoices to me.

Review: I had a [redacted] at a doctors office that used shiel laboratory to process [redacted].I recieved a bill and I paid it by check.Time passed and shiel claimed that they never recieved it and kept sending me bills so I placed a hold on the check #[redacted] on 5/*/12 and paid the bill with their credit service on 6/**/12at 7:00pm (credit control services ###-###-####)which inclided a fee in total I paid 24.95. On 6/**/2012 shiel tried to deposit the check that they claimed that they never recieved. I have contacted the company many times the issue seems resolved and then they send me another bill saying that the bill will go into collections.Desired Settlement: I would like to recieve credit for paying my bill and that the company correct their sloppy billing practice.
Review: After some lab tests I made payment to Shiel. l had just signed up for insurance but didn't have the info needed yet, so I charged the amount to my credit card. I attempted to get reimbursed through my insurance, but was told that instead of reimbursement I should call Shiel and have them file a claim through the insurance company and have them reimburse my credit card.
I spoke to a woman in billing at Shiel and as I began to tell her the story she immediately cut me off and said I had to file for reimbursement through my insurance company. I told her I had already attempted that and that I was instructed by my insurance company to call Shiel and ask for them to submit the claim and to reimburse me.
She kept cutting me off before I could finish any of my sentences. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she said no. I asked if she was telling me that she would not file a claim and she said that it was my error that I paid it out of pocket and since it's been paid the account is closed and there's nothing she can do.
Again I told her that my insurance company said they would pay it, but Shiel would have to file the claim. She was extremely rude and interrupted everything I said. We ended by me verifying that she was not going to file the claim and she just said it was my error that I paid it out of pocket and once it's paid there's nothing she can do.Desired Settlement: I would like Shiel to file a claim with my insurance company (as requested by my insurance company) and refund the amount to my credit card.
