I am rejecting this response because: To quote page 3of 4, last paragraphYour puppy is weaned onto dry dog food moistened with water and drizzled with light corn syrupThe new owner promises to buy some white corn syrup and put some (1/8) cup per one cup of water for the first week. This is your care instructionsI have copies of said instructions
I am rejecting this response because: Sherry was told the dog was eating without issue at the time of seizure and was watched so no plants were eaten. The bottom line is the dog came to us undernourished and was being fed a diet of food and Karo Syrup by the breeder and when taken to the Vet, we were told that she had never heard of Karo Syrup in A diet unless the dog had low sugar levels and to quit using it.The dog had health problems and that is the bottom line
It is not true that the pup had a diet of corn syrupThe [redacted] are making up senerios that they cannot substantiateFor that matter, the pup never had nor needed Karo before she leftThat is not what we do as routineThat is only percaution when the pups is under stress i.egoes to their new homeEverything here is hersayThat is why we depend on facts and professions written opinionsThe [redacted] have said the vet says several things but the vet has not written these this so we do not know that it is true.Again, if the [redacted] produce a letter from their vets that states that he/she knows what happened - or didn't happen - as instruncted in the contract, I will then revisit the issue~ Sherry

The *** did report a seizure the day after they received their pupIt is typical for pups not to eat properly when they first go to their new homeIf they don't' eat, their blood sugar level can go down to the point of causing a seizureAlthough we do not see that often in the larger
breedsI have seen itIt is also possible that the pup ate a poisonous plant or a mirage of other situations to have caused a seizure. When I talked to the *** on the phone, I assured them that I would honor my health guarantee:"I guarantee your puppy for one (1) year after date of sale against any life threatening or significant quality of life altering, congenital or genetic birth defectWith a signed statement from a state licensed veterinarian (DVM) that your puppy does indeed have a life threatening or quality of life altering congenital or genetic defect, you will be entitled to financial coverage up to, but not to exceed, the price of the puppy... The veterinarians statement needs to be on his/her office stationery stating diagnosis, treatment, recommendation AND medical options, as well as prognosis for the chosen course of action. I also need to know if the condition is congenital, genetic, or if it is caused or aggravated by stress or traumaDocumentation must include laboratory verification of condition and all medical records, including initial well puppy check and fecal test." (Full contract attached.)As for the claim that they treated for parasites; that is routineI have attached a copy of page two of the paperwork they sent from day after they got the pup saying that "NO PARASITE SEEN"(Spinning a problem that isn't there detracts from their credibility.)I have received pages of medical records but nothing indicating that the pup has a genetic or congenital problem, though speculations are discussedWhat can be concluded from the blood work is that there was something wrong, which has improvedWhat we cannot conclude is if the pup came with a problem or inquired a problem after she left our homeSince the pup significantly improved, it is reasonable to conclude that it is not likely to be genetic or congenital, otherwise, the pup would still have signs of itIn the event that there would be further problems and test to that would conclude otherwise, I will be happy to revisit the issue.I am not casting blame here as I do believe that the situation is non-conclusive, but I cannot be responsible for what happens to the pup in the care of someone else after she leaves our homeThese are biological creature and subject to a number of issues cropping up, particularly when in transition due to stress and vulnerabilityI give detailed instructions to prevent problems and also how to handle problems if they should arise but I cannot control the activity or environment after they leave my home Again, if and when I see a letter, as requested from their vet that the pup, beyond a shadow of a doubt has a genetic or congenital problem or even that what was found was due to neglect prior to the *** receiving the pup, I will reconsider liability. Please let me know if there is anything else I need to address~ Sherry

To Whom it May Concern;
On September 15, Mrs*** came to my house to look at Maltipoo puppiesShe ask me if she got a puppy if I
would consider taking it back if it didn't work outI told her that I would certainly consider it but that a puppy should not be looked on as a trail and error experimentI explained that it was hard on the pup to transition into a new home and moving back was even more confusing for herI further explained that there was liability on my part if I decided to take a pup back and I would have to give that consideration as well
Two days later Mrs*** called and wanted to bring the pup back because she barked when putting her in her crateI gave her some ideas to either curtail barking or try other ways of training but she was insistent that she needed to bring her back
For the above mentioned reasons I do NOT try to make it easy for buyers to bring puppies backBut again, I know there are times that it is needful and have accepted puppies back many times under a number for circumstances
I told Mrs*** that I was willing to give her $out of the $back if she wanted to return the pupI explained that I had taken her off line and would have to repost her and that I had missed several other offers since she had leftI also explained that when I take a pup back I risk binging a disease back into my kennel which could literally cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars (this has happened before.)
Mrs*** told me that I could list her a free sites, told me I was making excuses, was lazy, only in it for the money, a bad breeder, liar etc.; using a lot of "profane adverbs" which I won't repeat(I have this phone call recorded with NCR if it is needed.)
For this reason, I did not answer her second callHowever, she did not leave a message as she claims
Then Mrs*** came back complaining that the pup was not properly vaccinated because a licensed vet did not to itWhat Mrs*** doesn't understand is that it does not take a doctors degree to learn to administer a shotDiabetics learn to do their ownEven diabetic children and children with serious allergies learn to give themselves shotsIt isn't that hard to doTherefore, it is typically acceptable by medical professional, definitely legal, and for breeders and farmers to administer their own injection and other medical care for their animalsIf you find a vet that is paid by commissions (i.eBanfield) it is possible that they will not want to accept my recordsOther than that, I have not had any problem with vets accepting my records in the years I have been doing this
What I do know is that Mrs*** did not keep this pups and the food or vitamins that she agreed to(I would have received notifications.) According to my contract that technically voids my obligationMore to the point, it suggests that she has not taken other measures (i.eimmediate well pup visit to the vet) that I request to ease the adjustment of the pup and assure good health
I have attached the contract as well as the written correspondence from Mrs, ***
Though almost two weeks have laps, my offer still stands for Mrs***Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you~ Sherry
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 13, 2015/10/19) */
Also, at this point, I would NEVER return the dog to SherryI personally feel that she is running a puppy millMy dog barked and had separation anxiety because it was kept in a baby pen with it's siblings, never crate trained, and it was scared to death to leave that environment it was used toBreeders are looking to make a quick buck off of these dogs but they don't want to put the required work into training them and socializing them, therefore they all come out of these puppy mills with separation anxietyMrs R*** is only in this for the money and I would not bring my sweet dog back to her for $She needs to pay for poor customer service, claimer that the dog was properly vaccinated, and poorly treating her animalsMany negative comments and horror stories have been made on her website and I think that you (the Revdex.com) should look at this breeder more closely
Final Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2015/10/23) */
To Whom it May Concern:
Based on what Ms*** says it is not likely that she has been to my website
Again, it is hard to determine what, if anything, will satisfy Ms***I have offered to refund $of the $if she wants to return the pupI understand that she is disappointed that the situation didn't work out but the additional accusation are without fact and irrationalAnd now she is saying that she won't return the pup anyhow so there doesn't seem that there is anything that I can do for herAN example: If you drive a new car off the lot and try to return it the next month, you will not get anywhere near 83% of what you payThat is what I offered - 83% of the price she paidThe reason is that the car devalues once it is bought by the first ownerAnd though a pup may not necessarily devalue, that cannot be actually be determined until at least two weeks after she is returned, until they are through a reasonable isolation period to make sure they didn't come back with a contagious disease
Ms*** accuses me of being in it for the money but it appears that money is HER issue with this whole thing as none of these accusations came up until she realized that I would not offer a percent refundI understand that she put a lot of time, effort and even more money than the initial $to acquire the pup, but I simply cannot take responsibility for that any more than she can take responsibility for mistakes someone else makes
Ms*** admits that she was concerned about getting a barkerWhen she was at my house we considered the differences in personalities between the pups and I did point out that another particular pup may not bark as muchMs*** made her choiceAgain, Ms*** is neglecting to take responsibility for her decisions
Ms*** feels like I housed the puppies incorrectly and that the pup should be already used to the crate at weeks oldPuppies are born to be with mom and their siblingsI would like to know at what age Ms*** thinks a pup should be separated from her siblings and put in a crate all by herselfOf course, leaving their environment and going to a new one is scaryFor that reason, nearly all pups will cry for a few nightsEveryone typically knows and accepts thatBy implying that the pup should have already be crate trained it appears that Ms*** not only has unreasonable expectation but simply does not want to take the responsibility for training the pup herselfThis is part of a puppy's life and part of a human's life when tone gets a new puppy
There are some pups that do struggle with seperation more and some pups that do have separation anxiety but that is not because they enjoyed the first weeks of her life with the security of their siblingsSome sources say that in dogs suffer from anxietyASPCA says that anxiety is the most common complaint of puppy parents: https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/virtual-pet-behaviorist/dog-behavior/separation-a...⇄ It goes on to say that, "There is no conclusive evidence showing exactly why dogs develop separation anxiety." But explains that change is the most likely reasonSo again, Ms*** is making claims for which she does not know or understand
Ms*** has not mentioned what she has tried to do to help her pup with separation anxiety but if she would like to have a civil correspondence about that I probably could offer some tips
This article explains that a fear can start by a single incident: https://www.beneful.com/friends-with-beneful/calming-dog-anxiety-and-fear/?utm_c...⇄ goes on to say that the pup depends on us (specifically Ms***) to help them feel secureThis suggest that if and when Ms*** helps her pup feel more secure she will settle her anxiety issues
Finally, I have explained that I have not had any feedback for years that suggested that my vaccination records were not acceptedA half dozen people over this time have asked for the labels on the vials - in which I offered Ms*** - but other than a vet from a franchise (i.eBanfield, because they work off of commission) I have had no problemsI have further explained that adults and children learn to administer injections for a number of reasons and it does not take a rocket scientistAgain, Ms*** refuses to accept reasonTherefore, I would like to challenge Ms*** to produce a note from the licensed veterinarian that she took her pup to (who is not a part of a franchise) on his/her office letterhead that they will not accept my documentation for vaccines and why
Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do~ Sherry
