commitment to him to see the task through. Once we were able to reach him we asked him if he wanted us to proceed or issue him a refund. He asked for a refund. I explained to him that $75 was a consultation, which was not refundable, and that we had performed at least $150 of the $750 that he paid on the retainer. Therefore, we cut and issued to him a check in the amount of $600 constituting a partial refund. The next day he called back to my office indicating that he wanted for us to pursue the matter and volunteered to-put the $600 back on his credit card. I told him to simply return the refund check once he received it and we would void it out. We then made an appointment for him to speak with me further regarding the matter so I could see the case through. I trust that you will now close your file with regard to this issue at this point.
