Enterprises has never received a complaint of this nature before. The apartments they own in

owners and not the maintenance man. While he was showing the
apartment to Mr. [redacted], another prospective tenant called to inquire about renting it. Mr. [redacted]
stated he wanted it and entered into an oral contract to rent the apartment for twelve months and
paid the deposit of $525.00. The owners then took this apartment off the market.
The owner he met with attempted to contact him to deliver the keys and sign a written
lease but Mr. [redacted] did not call him back. After three weeks the owners learned he did not want
to rent it. With the apartment being off the market for three weeks when it could have been
rented to someone else, the owners retained three weeks rent and refunded the balance of
$161.25 to Mr. [redacted].
Review: On March 3, 2014 I wrote check for deposit in the amount of $525.00 for apt. The maintenance man ([redacted]) took my check stating contract would be at my workplace [redacted] left with his daughter (never received it). Then said would be left in one of mail boxes at complex - never there. I never got the contract and never signed any papers. I did not have a signed contract on this apt. Tried calling numerous times (nothing). I decided to purchase a home since I couldn't get contract on apt. or talk to anyone. Called about refunding our deposit back since I didn't sign contract. It was verbal and not signed in agreement.
Desired Settlement: Owner Martin Goad only refunded $161.25 as stated in letter. Since I never signed contract don't see how thats binding and I am requesting my full refund of $525.00 which total amount owed to me would be $363.75. There is NO signed contract on my part!
