The contractor has been repeatedly unreliable since the contract to repair hail damage was sighed in June 2017. After payments were made I received a notice to file lien from a supplier. Work dates were repeatedly missed and usually work was done only after I called and complained.
In January I was still waiting for work to be completed when I agreed to make a final payment upon their promise that they would return and complete the agreed upon work. In keeping with their past performances I am still waiting and they are not returning phone calls.
We spent two month working with Mr. insurance company getting all his repairs approved. We then completed his roof at the end of August. Next we finished the Stucco repair, replaced his garage door, replaced his damaged downspout and painted the house where needed. We were unable to find glazing beads for two of his windows so we gave him his money back for all the glazing beads even though we had fixed most of them.

I am rejecting this response because: As Shepards states they negotiated the repair costs with my insurance company and then I signed the contract for them to do the work. Now, almost a year later they say they are unable to complete the work that they negotiated and for which they contracted with me and for which I paid them in full in January. They sent me a check for the work that they are choosing not to complete...I can't believe that is legal...you can't decide which parts of a contract you want to honor and refund money for the other parts that you choose not to complete!
My experience with them has not been pleasant and it has been a year since they showed up at my house to ask for the work...I do not want a refund I want them to complete the work. By the way...I have in writing form them that they received payment in full and that they would return to complete the work..the payment was made January 31,2018.
Sincerely
JUNE14,2017.WE MET WITH MR. GARY SHEPPARD SIGNED CONTRACT FO INSURANCE DAMMAGE TO PROPERTY, MAINLY ROOF OF OUR HOME. OVER MONTHS OF CALL CONTACT PHONE,FAX EMAILS , ONE MEMBER CAME AFTER 4 MONTHS BROUGHT SINGLES, SAID THEY WOULD CALL. REPEATED CALLS CONVRTSATIONS -NO ROOF. CALLED JUST ASK FOR OUR MONEY BACK, DEPOSIT 2,500.00 GIVEN 07/14/2017. MOST RESENT NO PERSON ANSWERS PHONE.
met with the *** on July 5th not June 14th. They then signed their contract with us on July 20th 2017. We told the *** that with the size of the storm that it would take awhile before we could begin their storm repairs. We ordered their roofing materials on October 5th 2017 and even gave them a free upgrade to a class 4 impact resistant shingle. They decided that we were not doing the job fast enough and cancelled the contract, so we cancelled the order. We refunded their entire deposit and they have cashed the check.
We signed a contract in August for siding replacement for about $20K total and paid a $7K deposit. We did not get a date for the work to be done. They have stopped taking our calls and are not returning our calls. We now consider that S's voided the contract by never scheduling the work and now not communicating with us. Last attempt was in-person visit to their office last Friday 12/15 and Tom S promised that he or Gary S would call Monday 12/18. No one called on Monday 12/18. The office did not pick up my call today 12/19 and I left a message saying we want a refund asap.
We actually had two contracts with the ***. The first was to replace their roof with a stone coated steel roof, and the second was to replace their masonite type lap siding with steel lap siding. When the contracts were signed we told the *** that it would be several months before we could begin the roof because of our workload stemming from the May hail storm that devistated Golden, Lakewood, Wheatridge and Denver. They said they were not in a rush. the roof was delivered in November, completed and passed by the Aurora building department. Final payment on that contract was not received until the last week of November. Weather was then turning bad and we stated to the *** that we would begin work on their siding when weather got better. After several months they decided to cancel the second contract and requested their down payment back. We sent them their deposit of $7,000.00 back on February 23rd.

I am rejecting this response because:
Their response is full of half-truths and outright lies.
We did get the deposit back, and we are done dealing with them, but we FINALLY received the refund 2 days before we told them we were going to file against them in small claims court.
We will always and forever consider S's Total Exteriors a sad excuse for their advertised integrity.
Sincerely,
*** &
