Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. When ***h was at my house, the quote that he gave me was for completely installing the ceiling fansI told him that it was too expensive and that I could install them myselfHe told me that it would be less expensive if I did thatI then agreed to have it doneWhen the first estimate was sent to me (see document "Scan.pdf" it specifically stated that the cost would for "outdoor ceiling fans complete install on aluminum patio" plus a couple other itemsAnd the price was the very price that I was given when ***h called at my houseSo when I called *** and spoke with him that I would install the ceiling fans myself and that ***h said I could get a better price if I did that, he said something to the effect of: The quote does not include installation of the ceiling fans.I told him that the quote says that it was for the complete install of the ceiling fanAnd he then told me that they never install the actual fanThat I would never be given a quote like thatThat ***h would never say anything like thatAt that point I said that I felt like I was being called a liarGiven the specifics of the situation, *** was indeed inferring that I was a liar. From that point, *** agree do to the job for lessI was appreciative, we set a date and he sent me the second estimate (titled "*** ***.pdf") which STILL said that they were going to do "COMPLETE INSTALL OF THE CEILING FAN".These are not my wordsThey are written on the estimateNot long after I was sent an email out of nowhere, the DAY BEFORE THE JOB WAS TO BE DONE, that *** Electric will "not be able to move forward with the electrical work" that we had both mutually agreed upon. The documents are thereI did not force anyone to send themI wouldn't even be willing to have them install the actual fans, I can still do that myselfBut this was AGREED UPON*** even says that that is the caseHe gives no actual reason for wanting to cancel the jobThe fact that others on the internet have said similar things only makes a stronger case against this companyAt the time, I didn't question the integrity of his companyIn fact, it was exactly the oppositeHe questioned mine and then, ultimately we came to a mutually agreeable solution. The only thing I can think of is that he looked at the numbers and didn't think he was making enough money on what he bid based upon the living social coupon which I purchased for $and would apply $toward the job.I want the work done that was agreed uponI'm happy to pay the agreed upon moneyIt's as simple as that.Attached are two files that contain the exact documents that were sent to meThe one titled "scan" is the first estimate, the one titled *** *** is the second

In response to consumer complaint filed by [redacted]On 11/18/14, [redacted] of [redacted] Electric met with Mr. [redacted] at his residence to discuss potential work that Mr. [redacted] wanted completed.  An informal estimate was written, and all details of the work with cost were clearly discussed...

between [redacted] Electric and Mr. [redacted].Mr. [redacted] was then emailed a formal copy of the estimate on 12/6/14. Then Mr. [redacted] and [redacted], owner of [redacted] Electric, spoke over the phone on 12/8/14.  During this conversation, Mr. [redacted] questioned the cost of the project – specifically the cost of installing 2 boxes for future ceiling fans onto his patio that were listed at $180 per box.  Mr. [redacted] felt the cost per box was too expensive and stated he was under the impression that the $180 included a complete ceiling fan install.  Mr. [redacted] explained that all pricing was discussed at the initial meeting on 11/18.  To that, Mr. [redacted] said, “Are you calling me a liar?”  In order to diffuse the situation, Mr. [redacted] agreed to deduct $110 from the total cost of the job.  Once that was agreed upon, a date was set for 12/10 to begin work at Mr. [redacted]’s house.Upon further consideration of the conversation between the two, Mr. [redacted] felt it would be in his company’s best interest to not move forward with Mr. [redacted]’s job.Shea Electric is an honest, hard-working, family-owned electrical company that believes it is justified in declining potential work if a client questions the integrity of the company. If there are any questions regarding this matter, please contact [redacted] She at the address/phone number listed above.

The fact that a contract wasn't drawn up and signed by both parties doesn't diminish what occurred or the fact that a verbal agreement was established. If he doesn't want to do the work he agreed on then place a mark on his record. He isn't interested in arbitration, he is interested in being rid of me.  The work at my house still hasn't been completed. There was never any reason given for the denial of work other than what he has stated in the last response which is ultimately that it isn't going to be done.He wants to be a part of the Revdex.com but doesn't want to actually do anything to be a "better business". Put a mark on his record and let people know what kind of business he does. There are already other complaints of a similar nature out there. People who didn't go through the Revdex.com. Don't let this go away because he's doing "due diligence" by sending a piece of mail stating the same thing he said in his first response. It's not right.
