Review: [redacted] did not fulfill the contract to furnish materials and perform services to finish the Basement. He agreed to supply lighting, supply heat and air conditioning, drop ceilings, doors, bolt lock and floors, in which he has not supplied at all. In addition, he also agreed to hang and finish drywall and install electric, cable and telephone lines in which he has not completed. Subsequent inspections by other contractors have confirmed that the drywall is inadequately installed and would have to be torn down and redone in much of the basement. Those same contractors, agree that the electric does not meet current code. [redacted] signed this contract on April 4, 2014, 1/2 of the total cost was given to [redacted] to begin the work. [redacted] was paid 2 additional times to progress with the finishing of the basement. The very last check was written to [redacted] in August 2013. I haven't seen him since that day and have tried many times to contact him with no response to date. [redacted] is in breach of contract and the project has yet to be completed.Desired Settlement: Recover money lost and damages.
