Shawn Stevens

Had a floor installation preformed by Shawn Stevens. I was led to believe he was a licensed contractor by his wife and she is also a coworker. He doesn't have a business license nor does he have a contractors license. He installed my brand new flooring and boards are bowed, he tried to glues some down, numerous boards are not evening snapped together, and numerous are chipped. He showed up at my residence on Saturday Feb 22 in a threating manner told me to write him a check for $1,100.00 and he would be done and I could pay somebody else to clean up and fix his mistakes. He had me write "pd in full" in the memo and he left my house and immediately went to my bank and cashed the check. There was no contract signed he knew that I had been issued a check from my insurance company to have floor replaced due to my hot water tank that had leaked an ruined my previous hard wood flooring. He is threating me for the remainder of the insurance check. Job is not complete and new flooring now needs to replaced. he left it beyond repair. he still has my house key which makes myself and my son feel vulnerable right now. he won't provide me with receipts for materials that were purchased.
