Dear Representative of the Revdex.com:
font-family: arial, sans-serif;">I received your letter dated February 3, 2016, In regards to a complaint you received from our patient, [redacted]. Prior to receiving this letter, I received a call from Ms.[redacted] explaining to me her thoughts & opinions regarding the office policies of Shasta Critical Care. During this conversation, I explained to Ms. [redacted] that while I respect her thoughts & opinions, my job is to adhere to the policies set in place by the physicians that own the group. However, I also went on to agree with Ms. [redacted] that my office canceling an appointment an hour before the scheduled appointment time due to not having the necessary dictated report back was irresponsible on the part of the office. It was at the point, I agreed to refund the $25.00 "No Show" fee in full. Ms. [redacted] was very grateful & at the end of the conversation thanked me for my assistance & willingness to listen to her complaint. She went on to say she completely understood how the confusion took place and why her appointment had to be cancelled when it was.
At this time, this complaint has been handled and closed within our office. If you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at [redacted]
Kindly,
[redacted]
Review: After finally getting my sleep study done(a long process with their scheduling), I had an appointment to get my results 2 weeks later (and was anxious to get them as I am pregnant and wanted to make sure that my baby was not affected by any possible sleep apnea ). I got a call an hour before my appointment to inform me that my results were not in and that they would have to reschedule my appointment. I asked them to call me when they got the results to try to reschedule but that this was more difficult for me to reschedule as I have a 2-year old at home that I have to make arrangements for a baby sitter for. As it is, they never had appointments available after 3 when my husband could watch my daughter so I always had to get a baby sitter. They called me back the following Monday and said that they had the results and could get me in the next day, but of course only when I would have to line up a baby sitter. I tried to make the appointment but could not and because I didn't give 24 hours cancellation they charged me a $25 cancellation fee. I finally was able to get an appointment again a week and a half later and got my results (again, had to come during the middle of the day for them). At that appointment I was rudely informed that I owed this fee and when I disputed it they informed me that the only person who could make a decision to reverse this fee was in meetings and "would get back to me". I left my appointment with very high blood pressure from the dis-courteous handling of this matter from both of the front desk girls, especially after they were the ones who had to reschedule in the first place. Was I paid a cancellation fee for their need to cancel at the last minute? No. So now I sit here upset and find my only recourse is to contact Revdex.com to get a resolution to this issue. I paid the fee as I will not jeopardize my credit while they figure out how to handle this, however I do not feel that the fee was warranted and demand a refund of my fee paid.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the $25 charge I was required to pay.
