I am rejecting this response because:My TV was NEVER repaired...I have no idea where they even got this from.

Sharp sent the customer a remote on 7/2/
Sharp has extended the customer warranty for yearA service call has been set up for the customer
A refurbished exchange has already shipped outSharp has offered the customer a yr warranty and they have accepted
The exchange was processed for the customer*** *** ***Customer will receive a call in the next day or so to schedule delivery*** phone number is ###-###-#### option *
On 4/27/15, Sharp advised customer of an exchange offerCustomer advised that he would call back with a decision
We have processed another exchange for the customer to a NEW ***
Sharp does not assist with physical damageAs a courtesy we offered a prorated exchangeSharp cannot replace the unit at no cost
Sharp Electronics contacted the customer and asked about the current firmware the customer hasCustomer stated that he was not with the unit and will contact Sharp backSharp advised that sometimes the TV will not do an automated update and that it can be done manually if needed
The customer is months out of warrantyAs a courtesy we can cover the repair as a time courtesy

response because:Although the company did do as it stated, the service number they provided me also told me they could not help me as Sharp charges them a re-stocking fee for their parts and that they could not help me, and referred me to two other service placesHowever this isn't even the issueThe issue is their shoddy product which appears to be made to just be able to last until the warranty is upJust looking at the common reviews on Amazon.com (where I purchased the TV) there are many similar issueOnce the warranty is up the TV stops workingUnfortunately I (as did many others) bought this TV new the year it was made and it had not been out more than a year to see these reviewsNot surprisingly this item is no longer sold by Amazon as it was probably realized to be a problem productI have never had a TV die within such a short amount of timeI have some that are still working perfectly after 8+ years of more common use than the TV in question hadIf they would have advertised their product to say it was common for the product to die soon after warranty it would be much more of an appropriate gamble to purchase it. *** ***

business offered us a direct replacement of the product with another product of equal value or the choice of receiving an authorization of exchange to be taken to the local store the original product was purchased inWe accepted the offer of direct replacement on 4/10/and then notified the business was currently out of stock of this productIt was explained that inventory is re-evaluated every days and we would be contacted every days to update us on inventorySince it is now 4/20/and we have still not heard anything further from the business I called to check on the status of our caseI was informed the product was shipped from the business on 4/18/to a local logistics warehouse where it will be shipped to a local company that will then make arrangements with us to deliver the new product and take the old product with them to ship back to the businessUntil we have a functioning product to replace the one that has not worked for months we will not be completely satisfied
The customer was approved for an exchange and will be contacted to go over the exchange process
