Review: Sharkeys (Oceanside) is adding an automatic 15% gratuity charge for the service being provided. This is not posted or mentioned anywhere. This charge is being referred too as a service charge also. When billed, this is charged as a product. How do I know that the stylist received the amount due her? I don't agree with the assumption of the company that the service provided reflects a 15% gratuity. Gratuity is customarily designed to ensure that patrons receive the best service possible. The custom allows service providers to be rewarded for providing good service and lets patrons penalize those who provide poor service.Desired Settlement: change your pricing. if its a $20 haircut, call it a $20 haircut. Don't lead me to believe its anything less then add an automatic surcharge. Change the billing to call the surcharge a gratuity not a product.
