Shabby Fabrics

I was looking for a specific fabric. They had it. I ordered it. They called to verify the shipping as it was different from the billing and I received the fabric in a timely manner.
I will be ordering from them again!

I ordered a yard only to complete a project with a dye lot/ themed pattern. The fabric never showed. Was Mailed late and did not arrive. Tracking showed it was delivered but not what nor weight of package. I have not once had anything stolen from my current address. Shabby is not willing to do anything about it. Horrid service and there are so many worthy private shops, I would strongly advise this not be one you purchase from, let alone if you really need it.

I purchased the Shabby Fabrics beginners quilt kit. While the instructions were minimal, I was able to complete my quilt. I bought the Intermediate kit and some of the videos were as short as 8 minutes of instruction. The cutting directions were unclear and when I sent a note to the company asking how I could purchase more fabric to match the kit, no response. In making the intermediate kit my frustration grew - NO written instructions were included in the kit (the only printed pages were of the cutting layout and a picture of how to press, which by the way I had to print out myself - in a kit that cost over $125.00, I would think they could include printed instructions instead of "watch the video"). The videos were very heavy on product recommendations (sales) and very, VERY light on instruction. I am very disappointed as it was clear the end goal was to sell, not win an on-going customer. Shame on you Shabby Fabrics for not making a quilting experience a fun one instead of an exercise in frustration.

I had such a huge respect for this company, until applying for a job. The owner, Jennifer, is one of the most stuck up women I have ever met. Her assistant and her would blatantly insult other women that were "eliminated" from the interview to the remaining contenders - how unprofessional is that? Showing that you're an immature [redacted] to your possible future employees in an interview is soooo wrong. The second I walked into their office I immediately felt judged and discriminated. Nearly every employee would look you up and down and not even smile back - yet they pride themselves on being such a FUN and HAPPY job? Yeah, sure. The atmosphere is so negative, and you can tell all the employees walk on eggshells. Extremely disappointing experience since I used to shop with them all the time, I now have zero respect for the owner and every employee there.

Tip for the owner: I love seeing successful women, especially when you build your company from the ground up, but that doesn't GIVE YOU THE RIGHT to look at everyone else like dirt and treat them disrespectfully. That just makes you look like trash. Why do you think you're having to put out job ads every two weeks? That high turnover rate you pride yourself on isn't a good thing.

Review: This company sold me a quilt kit that did not contain all the fabric needed and as specified in the contents. I called them and emailed them a picture of what I received and the list of items that should have been included. They refused to make it right. As a disabled person on a very thin budget, it took me a very long time to save for this product and I had waited at least a year for it to go on sale to accomplish the purchase. I chose this company because I wanted to keep the money within our local community and am sorely disappointed in their unwillingness to fulfill their end of the sale.Desired Settlement: I would like all of the product I ordered.
