Don't shop at this gallery. The owner Katie Sevigny is a plagiarist and liar who ended up having to leave Anchorage due to her toxic actions over the course of a decade here. A local artist exposed her two years ago. She is opening a new gallery in Portland to attempt a fresh start where no one knows of her and her thievery. Watch the video on Youtube that she tried to get taken down. Says it all. Be sure to read the update in the description. Take five minutes to arm yourself with the knowledge needed to know who to support in your city. Katie, why would you ever think you could get away with this crap in such a small town? What got in to your head and heart? I worked for you. I worked hard for you because I believed your lies. You told people you had to 'clean house' when we all left. The truth was that we all walked out on you as a group one day. Plenty of witnesses. You know that's illegal right?

How does it feel to know that anyone who supports you only does so because they believe your lies? How does it feel to know that time will only expose you more and more because the truth is the truth and only gets stronger with time. How does it feel to know that the artists you plagiarized and tried to ruin have only flourished in their careers after surviving their unfortunate encounters with your poison? How does it feel to know that Adam rose above your toxicity, even with your threats of doxing, spoke his truth and to this day has the support of the entire Anchorage art community at his back? I'm so sad for you. Really I am, we started out as friends. All of us. It didn't have to be this way. You chose this.

In regards to ID #*** This customer was present when she purchased the canvas giclee print. She was able to view the giclee in person. All originals are clearly marked. The prices of originals vs giclee prints are vastly different. When contacted
by her, I offered to give her store credit or credit towards a commissioned original (at a discounted rate). We clearly post there are no returns only exchanges. We sent her signed credit card slip to the credit card company when she tried to cancel payment even though she already had the artwork. I feel we were more than generous with her and I truly believe this is just a matter of buyer’s remorse. Giclee prints have clean edges and clearly look like prints. I don’t know how she claims to have not known or that we are trying to fool people.
We are a small gallery locally owned and carry local artists from all over Alaska. We are just trying to sell our handmade goods and give visitors a cultural experience not full of cheap made in another country goods. We have a great reputation and pride ourselves on providing good customer service and quality goods. We have no interest in trying to fool or cheat people out of their money, it’s just not how we do things. Sorry this sounds redundant, but I just can’t believe I’m being accused of being unethical and predatory! We’ve been around for over yrs and have never had this happen and we are constantly hearing from our customers how happy they are, we’ve given them a locally owned option to buy handcrafted art
