Dear Ms. [redacted] : Please forgive my previous error in my first response; I was relaying to you the information I was given by the Director of Pt Access. I understand that you were able to discuss this issue with Mr. [redacted] who was able to correct errors in the SMCHH billing information and he will ensure the bill is re-processed and he will personally keep tabs on the account to its conclusion. I also understand that you have his direct contact number and will be able to contact him directly if you have any other needs regarding this account. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. I hope this resolution is satisfactory. If not, please feel free to contact myself or ***. Regards, [redacted]
Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I spoke with tricare and my birthday is correct in their system I called seaton's billing office on Monday and my dob was still incorrectEach time I call it is incorrect in their system and seaton just doesn't want to take responsibility for their errors Regards, [redacted]
Completely failed my family. How is a major complaint filed
The complaint was recieved by the Administration office at SMCHH and immediately forwarded to the Director of Patient Access, who handles billing issues. The Director, *** ***, investigated the issues related to billing with this account. He determined that the information error
lies with Tricare; that Tricare has the incorrect birthday information for Ms***. Mr*** will call Ms*** directly to discuss these informational issues and do what is needed to resolve this billing issue. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Complete resolution may require action on the part of Ms*** to interact with Tricare to corect any errors they maye have. In addition, it is imporrtant to know that the ED physician charges are submitted by a separate billing company (Five Star Emergency Physicians) and not by Seton Medical Center. The charges for the hospital are separate from MD charges and are the only things Seton bills for. Thank you, *** ***
SMCHH billing department has located the refund check that was issued February 3, 2017. We have attempted to contact Ms*** directly to coordinate delivery of the check to her via her preferred method (mail delivery, hand delivery, or pick up at facility). We would also like to
discuss Ms***'s concerns regarding the collection of the co-pay and refund timeline and have invited her to contact SMCHH by phoneMs*** *** at ***-***-***. Thank you for letting us assist you

Dear Mr. [redacted]: I am working with the billing department to resolve your issue. I did speak to our on-site billing department [redacted] on 2/14/18 and she will interface with the off-site billing department to have the refund issued and have them call you. I sent my response to your complaint yesterday to let you know that your complaint had been received and was being looked into. It was not meant to be a final resolution, but a notice to you that I was going to make sure the appropriate actions would be taken to resolve your concern. I cannot personally issue the refund, but I can keep in touch with the billing department processes until the conclusion of the refund process to ensure that your refund is sent to you. Please bear with me as I work with the department that will issue the refund. I plan to provide updates to you as I am made aware of them. I have also requested that the customer service side of the off- site billing department contact you this week to provide you with an update of their actions. Best Regards, [redacted] for SMCHH

I still do not like being lied to about the check being sent on February 3. I received a call from Seton Medical Center on February 24 stating that they had the check. It had been issued but never been sent to me. I went and picked up the check.
