Servpro gutted my kitchen while I was living in the house without warning or speaking to me
*** (owner) & Servpro team gutted my kitchen while I was living in the house without warning or speaking to me. Their excuse: The contract they make you sign at the get go (a tablet screen that says sign here without any visible verbiage) allowed for it & they couldn't reach me by phone. The adjuster was there that day around noon and the kitchen was gutted by end of business that day so apparently not being able to reach me immediately was on me. I was scheduled to meet w adjuster that evening just the two of us, but *** said it was my responsibility to be there when they met w him. That was never the plan and it had to take a few hours to gut an entire kitchen before end of business that same day so the excuse I wasn't answering the phone is beyond me. The insurance adjuster tells me they didn't have a right to remove kitchen cabinets without my talking to me while *** said I need to take my complaint to the adjuster for the insurance company to do something about it. Either way, the kitchen was gutted without my permission and I'm SOL.
