On April 8, 2020, I requested the service of ServPro to clean up a flooded basement in a rental unit. The sump pump had failed. Although they receiv
received the call after hours, they did not do the work after hours: charge $381.36. They then charged $298.32 for decontamination charge.
Without notifying us beforehand, they charged us $465.75 additional for Covid cleanup.
I have called ServPro three times; each time they say they will call back but don't. The last call the manager said they have been given legal authority to tack on this charge. (Have they received additional Stimulus monies that should cover this?)
I would like a refund of $381.36 for the after hour service charge. I would like a refund of $465.75 for the Covid-19 charge.

I can issue a refund for the covid-19 charges, as I can see the potential confusion with that charge. I will not be able to issue a refund for the after hour charges as we arrived on site at 5:09pm and began performing our services that we were called and hire to do. Refund in the amount of $465.75 will be issued today 6/30/2020
Thank You
Jodi
The costs were not made clear to me at the time of service.
My insurance company sent out servpro to take a look at water damage to my home. I inquired on costs of the service when they arrived and expressed that it was clearly a concern before they began work..."in case my insurance doesn't cover". I was just looking for an estimate. The rep told me the spray being put down was free, to kill the odor and that normal process is to just do the work and bill insurance. Still not giving me an estimate of the cost before tearing up my padding and bringing in equipment. I then received an invoice that was not itemized for 600. I had to reach out to servpro to request this detailed statement.. twice. This cost will be in addition to having my padding replaced, carpet stretched and cleaned (This hasn't been done yet), coming to a total of around 900. My insurance is not covering any of this. Considering the room is so small, I could've just replaced my carpet for less. I would have appreciated if the rep had addressed my cost concern before beginning the work so that I could've had the opportunity to decide on which route to take in repairing.
The company needs to explain to the reps the importance of disclosing costs BEFORE doing the work. Especially when a customer inquires. Not just push it off onto insurance policies that potentially will not cover the work. I'm asking that the company complete the work at no additional cost... padding cleaning and carpet stretch

We have come to an agreement with the customer that satisfies both parties. There was some miscommunication in the beginning but we cleared that up and come to an reasonable conclusion.

My carpet is being repaired today. I am happy with the resolution. The company has been great in helping resolve
