We followed our industries standards (IICRC guidelines for water damages and delaminated carpets) I am going to pay the carpet bill today and not argue with the homeowner through the property manager I will zero out the charges for SERVPRO
Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I did not agree to pay the discounted invoice as stated by SERVPro The work performed by SERVPro was not authorized and resulted in property damages As previously requested, I requested an estimate from SERVPro on February 7, An estimate was never provided by SERVPro Instead, they proceeded without informing me of the cost and they decided to remove the carpet without my prior knowledge I talked to the owner of SERVPro on February 7, He indicated that he would contact me on February 8, I followed up with a formal complaint with SERVPro on February 8, The owner did not contact me.I filed a second complaint with SERVPRO on February 25, The second complaint included the invoice for repairing the carpet SERVPro responded with an unacceptable invoice for their services Again, they are not entitled to compensations for the following reasons:They performed unauthorized workThe work performed did not restore the unit Instead, it resulted in damagesTheir invoice contained excessive chargesI'm expecting for SERPro to simply reimburse me for replacing the carpet The carpet that SERVPro removed was less than year old and the water damage was reported immediately As a result, there were no signs of old They simply needed to use an industrial wet/dry vacuum to remove the water Regards, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:I did not agree to pay the discounted invoice as stated by SERVPro. The work performed by SERVPro was not authorized and resulted in property damages. As previously requested, I requested an estimate from SERVPro on February 7, 2017. An estimate was never provided by SERVPro. Instead, they proceeded without informing me of the cost and they decided to remove the carpet without my prior knowledge. I talked to the owner of SERVPro on February 7, 2017. He indicated that he would contact me on February 8, 2017. I followed up with a formal complaint with SERVPro on February 8, 2017. The owner did not contact me.I filed a second complaint with SERVPRO on February 25, 2017. The second complaint included the invoice for repairing the carpet. SERVPro responded with an unacceptable invoice for their services. Again, they are not entitled to compensations for the following reasons:1. They performed unauthorized work2. The work performed did not restore the unit. Instead, it resulted in damages.3. Their invoice contained excessive chargesI'm expecting for SERPro to simply reimburse me for replacing the carpet. The carpet that SERVPro removed was less than 1 year old and the water damage was reported immediately. As a result, there were no signs of old. They simply needed to use an industrial wet/dry vacuum to remove the water.
