Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:Based on the Invoice from *** ***, the LCD cable short circuited the motherboard and LCD projector because he incorrectly installed the CASING, NOT the hinges as he claims in his letterIt was the improperly installed casing that caused the LCD projector to stop working and the motherboard to short circuit, not the hinges The Invoice from Servo's states in black and white that he replaced the casingThe repair Invoice from *** *** clearly states that the LCD projector cable was improperly placed between the casing and battery well, causing the LCD cable to burn out and the motherboard to short circuit.
My concern, besides the fact that this company will not take accountability for breaking the computer, is the fact that the computer was returned to me "repaired," and I was informed by *** *** that the computer could have caused a fire as a result of the LCD cable burnoutThis is dangerous business practice.
I will not accept reimbursement for the parts, as was suggested by the businessI would like what is fair and just: reimbursement for the $I was charged to "repair" the computer, the $fee to have *** *** look at my computer, and the $it will cost to fix the motherboard and replace the LCD cable and projector that were all broken due to the improperly installed casing by Servo's Computer Doctors. Dear *** ***;This is in regards to claim id *** *** brought her laptop to me for what appeared to be broken hingesHer laptop screen would not stay up without
addition supportI ordered her hingesUpon disassembly found not only did they need replacing but they broke the base of the laptop and were unable to be screwed back inI informed *** she needed a new base and the priceI also explained that I had to order it from a *** parts reseller and this was not a part I could just go to a local store and purchase.*** complained numerous times that this was taking to long and I explained I cant make the shipper move any fasterAs soon as the base came in transplanted the components into itI got her password and testedAfter testing for several hours and running *** Updates the laptop was deemed to be working and contacted her to come for itweek later she contacted me via text to say her password was not working and demanded a full refundAt no point did she ask me to look at itmonths later she claimed her screen went bad and claimed *** said it was because the hinges were installed wrong and demanded a full refundThe hinges are “keyed" and can only be installed one way therefore impossible to install wrongI will not issue a refund for the partsI don't feel I should refund the labor as the laptop worked perfectly when it left my shopI would be willing to refund the labor if that is what the Revdex.com wantsI am also enclosing a copy of the invoice for your records on this caseThank you

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
The LCD cable shorted out, as I said, because after replacing the casing, the LCD projector cable had to be re-run from the bottom half of the computer (keyboard), along the hinges, and into the display screenThe reason the display screen worked for MrM*** the first time he tested it was because he had just installed the hinges/casing and had not opened/closed the laptop several timesThe display screen worked for me the first times I used it too, but the more I opened the laptop, the more the LCD cable pinched between the casing and hinges, and after attempting to open the computer a third time, the black electric casing had split open on the LCD cable (due it being improperly installed and pinching between the casing, hinges, and display screen). It was at this point, when the black casing on the LCD cable had split open due to the pinching, that the motherboard shorted and the display screen was blackI opened the computer and used it two timesThe third time I opened it and turned it on, I had a black display screen because the continuous pinching between the casing and hinges caused the LCD cable to split open and short the motherboard.
And to clarify MrM***’ first response: the first time I text messaged him and told him there was a problem with my computer, I did not simply demand a refund; I requested that he “rectify” the issueI requested that my computer “be restored to working order” (SunFeb15, 7:41AM)He never responded to my request for the computer to be fixed. I have documentation of that conversation.
Per his comment in the first response stating that I was impatient after learning the casing needed to be replaced and he explained to me that “he cannot ask the manufacturer to send it out any faster,” we never had that discussion; it is an outright lieI never voiced any displeasure over the delivery of the parts taking too long; I voiced displeasure over the fact that my computer sat in his office for weeks before he even contacted me that the casing needed to be replacedThat communication only happened after I left him a voicemail at his business after I had not heard from him days after dropping the computer off
Per the text message he sent on Feb7th @ 11:55AM: In addition to improperly installing the casing/hinges, he even broke the screw cover on my laptop, promising to send out for a new coverI never received that screw cover replacement either.
Again, I am concerned that the business owner would return an improperly fixed computer that had the potential to start a fireI will simply not accept the cost of the partsI am requesting the $back for parts and labor, and the cost to replace the LCD projector cable and motherboard that was destroyed due to the improperly installed parts that I paid Servo’s to “fix;” totaling $592.98.

Dear *** ***;This is in regards to claim id ***.*** *** brought her laptop to me for what appeared to be broken hingesHer laptop screen would not stay up without addition supportI ordered her hingesUpon disassembly I found not only did they need replacing but they broke the base of the laptop and were unable to be screwed back in due to damage caused by the broken hingeUpon reassembly I tested thoroughly for hours before calling her to get the passwordWhen the computer left my shop everything was tested and working*** contacted me a week later claiming her password did not work and demanded a full refundAt no point did she ask me to look at itHer password must have worked the entire week because she did not contact me until thenI am not responsible for a password not working if I didn't set itIf she had not texted me demanding a refund but asked for assistance I would have gladly assisted her with the password issue at no chargeAs far as her claim to the screen, if the screen went long after it left here I can't do anything about that, Electronics like cars can have problems at any timeI liken this to someone getting an oil change then having a flat tire a week later and going back to complain that the oil must have been changed wrongShe went to *** *** and got ripped offA screen for her laptop is under $I don't know why *** *** charged her over $At this point I request the matter be closed as I think based on my statement and the ever changing story from *** *** that this matter now be closed so as not to waste any more time for the Revdex.com and myself,
Thank youHoward M
