This week on the 24th we will be out 6 mths since the start of my ordeal with Service Masters. If it had just been a timeliness issue, I wouldn't be complaining, but in the 6 months they have been repairing damage caused by a tree falling on our roof, they have done considerable additional damage to my home. Then on Thursday the 16th, Service Masters built a portion of fence with every single nail sticking through and this is why I am finally reporting them, this wasn't just subpar workmanship, this is a safety issue to my 4 children and pets, and has led to great concern about the safety of any work they have done.
We have talked to the customer and have taken care of the issues that the customer had complained about. We are waiting for the weather to worm up for the rest of the outside painting to be completed. We have been in contact with the customer through out this process. The customer understand that we are unable to finish the work, when the outside temperature is in the 30's. The rest of the work will be completed in spring of this year.
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
As for my response, yes I understand that they cannot redo the paint that is chipping off in the weather, but there were items that were supposed to be taken care and have not. They replaced the front door, which took 2 weeks to happen from the time I spoke with the owner. This was supposedly due to painting the door in the shop. The day the door was hung, Monday the 10th, the first thing I noticed was the areas the paint appeared to have been scraped against something, and second that the red paint previously on my door lock had not been cleaned off even though they removed it to put it on the new door. I pointed this our to Blake the next day when he came back to measure the lights that also were being replaced from over spraying. He commented that it must have been from the saw horses. I pointed out that he now had to fix the repair job on my house, caused by their company and not the original tree catastrophe. As of typing this on February 20, neither the lights or door has been fixed or replaced.Sincerely
Both items have been taken care of the same day, touch up paint on door and new outside light fixtures.
This is not true, yes they put up new light fixtures (again damaging even more paint) but they did no touch up to the door or cleaned up the old paint on my door lock. I was home and watched Blake put up the new lights, nothing at all was done to the front door.
