After a massive tree fell on my garage in April of 2016, my wife and I decided to hire Josh Kto rebuild itHe arrived to our initial consult looking and sounding very knowledgeable and professional, but it didn't take long for that impression to changeDemo began somewhere close to the last week of April, but the garage has yet to be completed as of December (I did end up telling him on October 8th to not come back or send any of his guys here) During construction there would be a week to two weeks of a lull in between people being here working
The siding that his guys installed had to be completely removed and reinstalled because it looked, extremely wavy.......and it still does, just not as badHe told be that there needed to be at least one metal support column along one of the beams that he installed, but to this day, there is no support column, just the temporary 2xsupport that they originally put upThey installed stone around the French doors of the office, but there is literally three inches of wall behind the stone where you can see bare wood sheathing through the joints of the stone, no Tyvek or flashingHe mentioned that he would come back and seal all of the joints where the bare wood can be seen with NP-1, but it wasn't done.........and I'm not sure that's the right fix anyway because there is no way to get into all of the joints to seal them completelyMy yard was constantly messy and I still find nails all over the place!
I wrote him a series of texts beginning on September 8th, and through October 8thHe did not reply to one of them! That's when I just told him not to come back During that time period, his guys did do a few things on the garage, but as far as him answering my texts.......nothingHis contract says that he stands by his work and offers a year warranty, but I have absolutely NO faith in him coming to fix anything if there was a future problem
I would absolutely recommend staying away from ServiceMaster by Kast, Kast Construction, or any other companies that Josh Kruns

The customer and the electrician have both been informed this matter is in the process of being taken care of. The owner/president of ServiceMaster is aware of the situation, *** has been in contact with Mrs*** and the electrician to get a resolution to this matter
After a recent heavy rainstorm, our finished basement flooded leaving 3-inches of water in some areas with significant damage Upon filing a claim, our insurance company referred us to ServiceMaster, and the local franchise happened to be ServiceMaster by Kast We hired them for the job, and we could not regret it more
*** During their services, I witnessed one of their employees stealing money from my wife's purse! ***
When I confronted him, he did not know what to say and simply handed back the money After calling the police, that employee and his brother left the property immediately, and considering the job was almost finished, I permitted Pete, the long-term employee who remained at our home, to call in extra help to finish the job (he was the only bright spot in this whole ordeal) The next day, my wife and I were surveying our property/belongings throughout the basement and notice a valuable ring was missing from its resting place on my wife's ring holder in our dressing room/closet We then contacted the police to add it to our police report
Following the incident, it took days to hear back from the owner despite our 3-calls to attempt to speak with him When we finally got a hold of him, he decided he wanted to meet with my wife and me at our house What a waste of time! First, he claimed the employee who stole was a family friend of his and seemed to be defending himSecond, he never once offered an apology for what happened (I remind you, I caught him red-handed stealing money from my wife's purse)Lastly, he practically insulted my wife and me in our own home by equating the missing ring to a story about a customer who had previously wrongly accused them of taking a laptop from her home
The fact of the matter is, we hired ServiceMaster by Kast to help us during a very stressful and upsetting time, and they stole from us If you experience flooding or any other unfortunate event that may require restoration services, please do not trust this company

I am writing this review to warn others of what to expect if you hire this company for fire restoration. I can only give you my experience. Found this company on Revdex.com and at the time it had a A+ rating. First meeting was refreshing. Owner was very nice and explained to me, the home owner and the tenant everything that would be completed. Everything sounded great and looked great on paper. His workers were at the home the next morning cleaning everything that was damaged by the fire and smoke. It was a fire in the utility room that started in the dryer with smoke damage throughout the house. They had everything cleaned in two weeks. Labeled all the clothing and electronics and shipped them off for cleaning. The cleaning people were wonderful. The painters came and painted everything and they were gone. They did a good job. Then it started. Refrigerator was damaged in the fire but Insurance required a diagnostic test before replacing since it had smoke damage. The refrigerator disappeared and no one with the company knew what happened to it. My Insurance company covered the purchase of a new refrigerator. The company purchased an ice maker install but no ice maker. They purchased the ice maker a few weeks later. Made repeated calls to have the ice maker installed. The company came to install the ice maker a few weeks later and discovered they ordered the wrong ice maker. More calls were made to have the correct ice maker installed. They finally purchased the correct ice maker but it didn't get installed until a few calls and weeks later. It took two months to purchase and install the correct ice maker. The company brought in a large dumpster and it sat it in the driveway for weeks. Everyone in the neighborhood used the dumpster before the items in the house could be thrown in the dumpster because it sat there for over a week. After repeated calls to the company to come and remove the smoke damaged items from the home and under the car port that sat in front of the home, the tenants removed everything and pitched everything in the dumpster themselves. I was in contact with the insurance company on a daily basis making sure documentation was submitted to ensure payment would be made. It was impossible to get a hold of anyone in the office or get information when the house would be finished. I was constantly told they were working at another restoration location with bad reception. Communication was almost null and void after the cleaning and painting was completed. The fire occurred on March 18. Work began around the first or second week in April. Work was completed the 4th week of September 2015. Payment was made September 24. I expressed my displeasure several times to the owner and to one of the employees of the timeliness of the restoration. I was told it shouldn't have taken six months to complete the fire restoration in the house. The work was finally completed but who has six months to give to a company doing fire restoration work on a house with minimal damage. I've learned my lesson the hard way.
