Response to Complaint [redacted] I did not know who [redacted] is, or how he is related to [redacted]...
[redacted]. The man I spoke with regarding this matter would not identify himself in any of our conversations. Background: Ms. [redacted] placed the initial call to us and told me she was the owner of the apartment. She was the only one we dealt with onsite during the two service calls we made to that apartment. Mr [redacted] was never there according to the two technicians that were dispatched to the apartment. On 2/22/17 (Wed) we went to her apartment to checkout her ac unit, it looked like an electronic issue with the control boards so we called the technical support dept. for that brand of ac unit but the company was already closed for the day. So we left a message for a return call and explained there was nothing more we could do with out direction from the tech support people. We did not charge her and said we would return at a later date after we hear from the tech support dept.. We did not hear back from the technical support dept the following day (Thur). She called again on Friday and I told her we haven't heard from the tech support people but she wanted us to come try again. I explained that there is no guarantee we are going to be able to get thru to the tech support dept. She said please come out and try again. So we went out on a Friday afternoon and this time we were able to get thru to the tech support people. We told them what we were seeing for error codes on the machine and they made some suggestions and we were able to get the unit running. We informed Ms [redacted] we were told by the tech support people that the ac unit is obsolete and there were no new parts available for her ac unit. After she refused to pay for the time we spent on her ac unit on 2/22/17 (which she signed for) I offered her a discount on the entire job and she wrote a check for $172.77. She signed our work order and had no complaints and seemed happy that her AC unit was running. I only remember speaking to Mr. [redacted] a day or two after the repair was completed. Again he would not identify himself or his relationship to Ms [redacted] but said he was the owner of the apartment. He wanted to know what we had done and if there was a warranty. I explained to him we reset the breaker and reset some of the safety devices on the ac unit with the help of the tech support people. We did not replace any parts and our warranty does not cover power issues. He said in that case he shouldn't be charged and he won't pay and he will stop payment on the check. I told him if he does I will send it to collections. I ended the call without swearing at him as he states because he was being ridiculous and wasting both of our time. I called Ms [redacted] a short time later and told about the call I received from a man who said he owned the apartment and that he was going to stop payment on her check. I advised her if a stop payment was put on the check the matter would go to collections and her credit was at risk. Some time later I received a call from Mr. [redacted] and he wanted to know what collection agent I was going to use and I said to him "you are a real piece of work" and ended the conversation. A few days later I received the returned check with the stop payment noted from my bank. I sent it to my collection agent [redacted] and they got the payment from either Mr. [redacted] or Ms. [redacted]. I did not charge them the $7.00 returned check fee I was charged. Notes: During all my conversations with Mr. [redacted] I never swore at him or called him an it, ever! Mr. [redacted] always had the option of taking me to small claims court. I did ask him at some point in the last of our conversations what he did for a living but he declined to answer. I was curious what a person acting this way could do for a living. Mr [redacted]'s emotional nature seems to have gotten in the way of his recollection of the facts in this matter. Resolution/Settlement: I should be reimbursed by [redacted] the $7.00 returned check fee plus the collection agents fee of 40% of the $172.77, for a total of $76.11. The social media attacks must stop or I will pursue legal action. Please see all attachments: Signed work orders Returned check Returned check amount and fee In closing, I have been in the HVAC business for over 35 years, 32 of those years in Hawaii. I have owned and managed my own company now for over 7 years. In that time we have invoiced almost 7,000 transactions to more than 1000 customers at this point. I believe my company has an excellent record with the Revdex.com, and I work hard to keep it that way, In my professional life have never had a customer interaction like this and I hope I never do again, this was bizarre! Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions...I do not want to be contacted by [redacted] or [redacted]! Very Truly Yours Nick N[redacted] Service AC and Plumbing
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Mr N[redacted]’s recount of our interaction is false and unsupported. We would be happy to provide testimonies as needed. Mr. N[redacted]’s character and interaction with customers is clearly and objectively represented by his company's [redacted] reviews which particularly identify Nick's behavior.[redacted] H in 8/13/2015 stated that she would give this company “0 stars” and regarded Nick as “one of the rudest people [she] have ever had the misfortune to encounter” and also mentions that she was unfairly charged.[redacted] in 12/82016 – agrees with [redacted]’s post and would also give this company 0 stars and regards Nick as one who is “rude and does not stand behind his work at all”My experience was very similar to these reviews. As described in detail in my original complaint, Nick was difficult to interact with and he was abrasive and offensive on the phone. He unfairly charged me and he did not stand by his work. It seems reasonable to believe that 3 separate, unrelated individuals that have consistent and public negative reviews on Mr N[redacted]s’s behavior have more credibility than Mr N[redacted]’s own response. The only positive review was placed this month on 9/9/2017 by an employee of the company. But over the past 2 years, there has consistently been 3/3 terrible reviewsThe staff at my building also confirmed that they have received non-specific complaints from other residents on their interaction with this company. This company should be represented to the public in a fair and realistic manner. Please see their [redacted] review at: [redacted]
