Rep slung foul septic waste on wood fence and trenched yard with bobcat when he could have used sidewalk
Rep came out on 1/15/2019 after a no-show 2-5 appointment on 1/14/2019. He parked on a neighboring street and drove digging equipment up the side of yard instead of using an available sidewalk. He also trenched grass near septic tank and did not attempt to repair. This rep has a very strong accent and understanding him was difficult. He kept asking for my signature on his iphone and when I asked him "what for" he said, "so he could proceed with work; that I was signing a waiver." I asked to see the iphone to read what I was signing and kept asking for the total amount I was assuming with signature. He could not show me the total amount on the iphone. He then went and got an ipad in order to show the amount, which had gone from $225 to $456.25, and told me he did not know why it did not show on the iphone. I started to get wary of his upselling at that point. He had come out 3 years prior to pump the tank and talked me into $1,800 worth of "repairs to the system." He wanted to do the same repairs this time and I refused to sign for any more work. I told him to stop and pack up. I paid him $456.25 (***)for the work he had done and I had agreed to, via my signature. I believe he was angry that I would not let him do the repairs and keep escalating the costs again, but did not notice until he had left, that he had slung black septic waste from his vacuum tube across my wood fence and that he had not repaired the yard where his equipment had trenched it.
I am seeking $200 in restitution for the clean-up of my fence and repair of my yard. This also includes restitution for the 3 hours I took off work on 1/14/19, which no one ever showed up for. When I spoke to the rep on the phone on 1/14/2019 about the no-show, she told me they would give me a break on the final bill, which they did not. I have photographs of the fence and the yard damage.
On 01/13/19 Mrs. contacted the company to service her septic tank and it was scheduled for 01/14. The technician that was scheduled to go to her home had a personal emergency and she was rescheduled for the following day.
The technician arrived on 01/15 at 1:30. He then proceeded to service the system. Servicing the system requires excavation in which Mrs. was made aware of upfront. Cover up is to a rough construction grade as per the landscape waiver that was signed by Mrs..
Mrs. did not call the office to inform us of the sewage splatter on the fence or her dissatisfaction of the cover up of the job.
We sincerely apologize for the sewage splatter, inconvenience of the reschedule and the dissatisfaction of the job cover up. After counseling the technician we are sure that if he knew of the sewage splatter it would have been cleaned up. If Mrs. had called the office and made these problems known, we would have immediately resolved the issue.
Septic Blue has a deep commitment to customer satisfaction. Septic Blue has a 100% customer satisfaction policy. In keeping with the customer satisfaction policy a 20% discount of the job will be applied back to Mrs. credit card immediately.
