The original repair on [redacted] Relay Van was completed on 2/19/ We installed a rebuilt transmission with approval from herWe towed it into our shop and it didn't operate correctly it came in with shifting issuesThe replacement of the transmission fixed the shifting issue She paid for the transmission up front, which is required by our shop to pay for expensive parts and the remaining balance upon completion of repair She paid the balance with a check which was returned for NSF The returned check was taken care of on 3/2/ On 3/7/we towed the van in with her stating she thought it was a transproblem There was a wire that had come unplugged so we reconnected the wireShe called for an update on vehicle and spoke to JudeShe wanted a price on a tune up because we told her it needed oneIt had the original spark plug wires on itJ [redacted] told her about the loose wire and that would fix trans issue but it still needed a tune upShe told J [redacted] to go ahead and do the tune up while it was thereWe did the tune up as she had asked us to She then called to see if it was ready and said the tune up was too much and she didn't have the money She ask if she could pick it up and make a payment on Friday I (D***) explained to her.the repairs had to be paid in full before the vehicle is permitted to leave our lot She didn't seem very happy that I wasn't going to allow them to charge the services [redacted] has been a customer for many years and was previously permitted to charge the service and make payments In today's economy, we have stopped allowing customers to charge unless using a credit card It's not a personal attack, just a business decision Her brother came into the shop to pay for the repairs and was nasty to the office help I'm declining any refund, we did what she asked with her approvalWe base our hourly shop rate by All Data labor guide, which is a top national labor guide used by most shopsThanks you!
