BEWARE OF BOOKING WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! WOULD LEAVE NEGATIVE STARS IF THAT WAS AN OPTION!!!
Oh, rude does not even begin to describe these people. We had similar experience with Irish friends who booked the villa to share with us. We split the costs. We had to cancel in mid-March - the 19th to be exact because the Irish were informed that their flight would probably be cancelled and were immediately given a refund. Per the cancellation policy on Homeaway.UK "100% refund would be given by 17 APRIL 2020 at 11:59pm (property's local time)". We cancelled almost a month before the 100% refund deadline. I personally spoke to the property manager after we cancelled to inquire about the refund and was told it was too early to cancel because of COVID-19. I informed him the flight was being cancelled and asked him how he would suggest they get here - swim??? There was a travel ban in effect at that time and no way to know if it would be lifted or extended. And apparently there was also a ban on short-term rentals in Florida that was still in effect during the first week of our booking. Also because Homeaway removed this listing - presumably because he DID NOT HONOR HIS CHOSEN CANCELLATION POLICY, he told us that unless we contact Homeaway to get this property relisted we will get no refund and will NOT be able to use funds for next year. Homeaway said that is up to the property manager/owner to ask for reinstatement. The property manager is extremely rude and unprofessional as can be seen in other reviews/complaints. He does not seem to realize that it is probably HIS OWN fault that his property was deactivated because he DID NOT HONOR the cancellation policy HE selected to offer on the listing page. AND WE'RE OUT £1200 (+/-$1500)!!!
The most unprofessional, rude company that I have ever had to deal with. We booked travel with them through A for May 6-12. Per A policy, due to the coronavirus, all reservations after April would not be refunded. We are an Active military family and have received a letter per Dept of Defense that ALL travel for military and their families is BANNED until May 11, and in A's policy, it clearly states that if travel restrictions are placed with documentation, a refund will be given. I contacted Select Villa Vacations, stated my argument, sent them all required documentation and the person that emailed me back was so incredibly rude. In his words, "this is ridiculous, NO REFUND, it is people like you that will crumble the travel industry." How unprofessional. Wasn't even willing to work with me on other dates, nothing. What part of MANDATED travel ban did he not understand? I will never deal with this company again and I urge you not to as well. I suggest you read some of the reviews on this company before going forward with your travel plans. The most unprofessional, rude jerks in the business.

After I had to fight with you and endure a slew of nasty emails from you, only then did you realize that legally I was entitled to the refund, did you issue it. Case in point, from your response....RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Buyer BEWARE.
I booked with Select 8 weeks ago, unfortunately in the time I have lost my job without notice as I worked for T Airlines, which were made insolvent overnight in September.My flights we're also booked with TC so I now have no flights either. I asked (almost begged) Andy if I could have a refund of my deposit which was 50% of the total booking not 20% as states in t&cs. I am out of work and can no longer afford a Florida holiday. Andy will not give me a penny back.
I could understand if I'd just changed my mind and not wanted to go but my whole life has been turned on it's head and I've lost my income and I have 2 small children, where is the compassion?
The booking was for May 2020, peak time in Florida as it's also over half term in the UK, he would have no problems re-letting this property. I asked for a partial refund yet it's still a no.
Small businesses all over the UK have bent over backwards to help the 9000 T Employees who lost their jobs, why not take a leaf out of their book and be a good human being or maybe put yourself in my shoes for a minute..
