We contracted with this business for security for our home in Bardstown, KyIt was formerly Bardstown Alarm CoMy husband signed a contract with them but did not know it was automatic renewed in yrsWe wanted to remove our landline phone but our alarm was monitored through that landlineHe went to the office in Bardstown and spoke with man there and told him we were removing our landline and wanted to cancel our monitored alarm serviceHe said fine no problem Two weeks after we removed our landline a representative from Select Security contacted us and told us we had a contract that had been renewed until and we owed if we cancelled before then We ask her to email us a copy of the contract and there was a clause in there stating that we had been renewed in for more yrs of monitoringWe did not read the contract word for word our faultHowever, why they donot notify you when they are renewing is bad business and when we told the gentlemen in Bardstown we were taking our landline out and want't to cancel our contract he never mentioned we would be penalized again bad business So now we have to pay for another yrof monitoring we donot want since we have already purchased a new systemUnhappy customer whatever happened to common courtesy

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint I[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I will not be paying $400 for services on a property I no longer own.  You will need to submit to me, in writing, this invoice so that I can forward it to the [redacted] for further assistance.  In the meantime, I continue to use word of mouth, and social media to warn my friends and business associates, of your unscrupulous practices.  This company has threatened to send this to a collection agency which will ruin my [redacted] score.  I feel as though I am being coerced into paying this company $400, again, for services I will not be receiving.  May I remind all who read this, I was a good customer since 2008, always paying my bill on time.  This is how my patronage was rewarded.  The contract I signed was with Secure US, not this company.  I am considering hiring an attorney to assist me in further actions.
