Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Slelect Autos has mischaracterized the proper description of the carIt advertised the car as a particular color as specified by the manufacturer, with no room for ambiguity, whatsoeverIt then issued a buyer's order for the car, again specifying that precise color, and based on it's representations I traveled from out of state to complete purchase of the car"Some people view it as gray, some view it as gray-green" is not a defense, nor is it true, nor would it be any defense if there was as much room for visual "interpretation" as Select Auto would have anyone believeUpon my arrival, the dealer's own employee readily admitted that it was not the color described, there was and can be no debateWas the car actually the Acura color "Anthracite Metallic" as advertised and "sold"? NoIt was "Deep Gree Pearl." And, after this fact was established in person, Select Autos changed the color of the car on it's internet advertising to "Deep Green Pearl", officially and legally admitting that it was offered and contracted to me based on negligent or outright fraudulent information
Additionally, the cosmetic condition of the car was not close to as described when seen in person. As to the dealership's note that the car was subsequently sold to another buyer, this has nothing to do with my complaintApparently, the green color was ok with that buyer- so what? And, if the dealer actually made more selling the car elsewhere than it would have selling it to me than the $difference (or so he claims) would go a long way towards settling my contention that the money I wasted going to collect the car from out-of-state, based on bogus assurances, should be refunded by select autosAs that is a civil matter outside the pervu of the Revdex.com, I have now sued this company to tangibly address this aspect of the experience.
Bottom line: Select Autos is guilty of negligence at the very least, at fraud at worst… it has not simply admitted this and apologized in a forthright manner- and other potential customers should understand what sort of business this is
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above
Sincerely,
*** ***
Some people look at this car as Gray and some as a Gray Green. when the the customer came to look at the vehicle he said the factory default color on the internet was wrong so we changed it. The customer did not want the car so we refunded his 500.00 deposit within 24hrs and we have proof of that....
As far as condition the car is in beautiful condition , and to prove we were selling a Nice car at a great price , we sent the car to a dealers auction [redacted]. and sold it wholesale for 10,400. and the dealer thanked me after he further checked it out and said what a nice car it was. we were selling it to the customer thats making this complaint for 10,000. So we got 400.00 more from a dealer who has 500.00 in expenses on top of the 10400.00 he paid and will put this on his lot for sale for aprox 13000.
We at Select Auto Sell Very Nice Automobiles Wholesale and retail.Always at very fair prices. There will always be a Customer that is un reasonable or Never satified.
All we can do is Try.
Regards,
Select Auto
Review: I came across one of their cars on [redacted], then saw the same car also listed on Cars.com and on the Select Auto website. Since it "appeared" to be a particular, hard to find car I had been looking for with low miles, I made a deal with them long distance. I Traveled to Long Island from out of state to complete the purchase and pick up the car... low and behold, it wasn't even the color they said in their adds, or on my buyers order. Additionally, the car wasn't even close to as described by [redacted] and [redacted] with respect to cosmetics. (I don't know about mechanics, I never even bothered driving it.) After my visit, and expressing dismay that the car was misrepresented as to color, Select Auto quickly changed the color designation on the various websites it was using to advertise the car, thereby irrefutably confirming that it was not the color I had been told, and that appeared on my buyer's order. And, If this were simply unintentional negligence, you would reasonably expect a "reputable" dealership to at least try and work out a solution for the money and time that was wasted as a direct result of their misrepresenting the ca (including the cost of an unexpected return flight back home same day, at a full non-advance air fair). Instead, Select Auto convinced me they had intentionally acted in bad faith by denying all- as if a green car looks the same as a gray car! And, as if they had not changed the color designation as a result of my complaints! Their response was an arrogant "let-the-buyer-beware" attitude. Sadly, I suppose this applies to any auto purchase to some extent, but this does not excuse outright lying even when they were asked on the phone to confirm details as stated in their on-line marketing. This company has acted in bad faith both before and after the fact of determining their vehicle was not as promised in an attempt to further a bogus sale.Desired Settlement: Select Auto Brokers should return of my $500 deposit and additional charges.
