To whom it may concern,
We, as a company, have been doing business with the ***’s for over years. We value the respect and loyalty of our customer’s on a daily basis and even more so to the customers that have supported us throughout so many years. We have never encountered such an issue as this when it came to the late Doc ***. He was always kind, honest and a pleasure to deal with on a weekly basis. With the knowledge of his passing back in November of 2013, we have been doing everything we can to help his wife in any way possible when it came to the pool. We know for a fact that the pool was his “baby” and he did everything with the pool when it came down to it. We have built a rapport with ***’s over the years and we value the relationship we have worked so hard to build.
At the end of April of 2014, Mrs*** called and asked to start pool cleaning services with our company She was originally signed up as a monthly customer which includes going out once a week to clean the pool and balance the water. After the first month of cleaning the pool and getting the water properly balanced to where it needed to be, (which was May of and it also included one trip from the previous month) we received a phone call from Mrs*** complaining that the bill was too high and we needed to use her chemicals instead of ours and also insisted that we not come every week. We, at that time, informed her that our schedules went one of two ways, a customer can either be a monthly customer or a biweekly customer. That means we either come out once a week or we can come out every other weekBoth services were two different prices. She chose to stay as a monthly customer for the time being. The last two years of pool cleaning and services are listed below along with a list of the constant fluctuation in the scheduling of pool cleaning and chemicals added or not added to the pool. The list below is all per Mrs***’s request.
June 2014- Cleaned the pool weeks, added chemicals to the pool on one of the visits, customer was instructed to fill up the pool on the 1st trip of the monthJune 2014- Purchased a new Polaris head and hose and installed the unit in her pool at no chargeJuly 2014- Cleaned the pool weeks (only charged for 4), made trips total, added our algaecide out of the truck on a couple of visits1st trip- no chemicals were added, 2nd trip- pool was turning green, algaecide was added, no other chemicals and customer was instructed to fill up the pool so we could vacuum the pool, 3rd trip- pool was vacuumed on waste, 4th trip- pool was turning green again, water level was low again, added algaecide, no other chemicals were added, pool cleaning technician noticed the customer not running the pump and recommended a run time from 8am to 8pm, which is essential in the heat along with proper water balance to keep algae from forming, the pool cleaning technician also suggested a timer for the pump so the customer did not have to keep turning the pump on and off, 5th trip- pump off again, treated pool with algaecide, no other chemicals were added, 6th trip- Cleaned pool, asked customer to turn off the water when pool was full. (The charge on this bill should have been much higher due to the improper running of the pump and several trips with a low water level which caused unnecessary algae to grow when it could have been prevented if the customer would have ran the pump and kept the water level up per recommended suggestions.)
August 2014- Cleaned the pool weeks, water level was low and the pump was off on the 2nd visit, customer was instructed to please run the pump from 8am to 8pm and keep the water level up, no chemicals were added throughout the monthAugust 2014- Installed a new booster pump for PolarisSeptember 2014- Cleaned the pool week, used her chemicalsOctober 2014- Customer switched to biweekly service (although she refused to pay the biweekly rate, DEMANDED to have the weekly rate for a biweekly service), cleaned the pool weeks (only charged for 2), trips were made, gate was locked the first attempt, tried calling, no answer, algaecide was added on the 2nd tripNo chemicals added on the 3rd tripNovember 2014- Cleaned the pool week, no chemicals added
December 2014- Cleaned the pool week, no chemicals added
January 2015- Biweekly (only charged for trips), made trips, gate was locked on the 2nd and 3rd trip, no chemicals addedFebruary 2015- Biweekly (only charged for trip), made trips, gate was locked on 2nd tripMarch 2015- No service
April 2015- Installed new liner at the end of the monthMay 2015- Customer switched to monthly service, cleaned the pool weeks (charged for 4), made trips, gate was locked on the 2nd trip, used her chemicals, installed a 16’ Rope and directional eyeballs per customer request on 1st tripJune 2015- Cleaned the pool weeks, used her chemicals, added stabilizer and algaecide off the truck, Customer was instructed to fill up the pool and keep the pump running per recommended running time on the 3rd tripJuly 2015- Cleaned the pool week, gate locked other trips, used her chemicals on the 1st trip, pool pump was off upon arrival, suggested a run time of 8am to 8pmAugust 2015- Cleaned the pool weeks (charged for visits), used her chemicals on the 1st trip, the gate was locked on the 2nd trip, tried calling, no answer (During the 1st and 3rd trip, Mrs*** called the office to inform the pool cleaning technicians manager that she did not like the technician that was cleaning her pool, although this same person has cleaned her pool from day one. She insisted that the person was stupid and did not want that person back over there.) 3rd trip- a new pool cleaning technician shows up and finds chlorine tablets laying on the bottom of the pool, brings it to the customers attention and shows her the proper place (skimmer) to put chlorine tablets and even recommended a floater for the tablets, the technician made the customer aware that the bleached areas on the liner were from the chlorine tabsSeptember 2015- Cleaned the pool weeks (charged for trips at a monthly rate because she was still recognized as a monthly customer), tried calling her on the 1st and the 4th trip was told by the customer that she was busy and had somewhere to go, on the 2nd trip the pool cleaning technician discovers the pump off upon arrival, notated algae forming, advised customer to please run the pump during recommended running times and even recommended a timer so the customer would run the pump on a routine basis3rd trip- cleaned pool, no chemicals added all month(When Mrs*** received the bill for September’s pool cleaning and complained because she said we only showed up for one visit when we clearly had the invoices to support the trips billed. Came to a mutual agreement and took off $from the bill, although we feel we should not have had to back down on this due to the proper paperwork provided, we did it to maintain peace.)
October 2015- Cleaned the pool weeks, week tried calling and customer said she was too busy, no chemicals added all monthNovember 2015- Cleaned the pool weeks (charged at a monthly rate), no chemicals addedDecember 2015- Cleaned the pool week (charged at a monthly rate), installed new lid gasket on pool pump, no chemicals addedJanuary 2016- Cleaned the pool weeks (charged at a monthly rate), no chemicals addedFebruary 2016- No service, gate lockedMarch 2016- Cleaned the pool week, no chemicals addedApril 2016- Cleaned the pool week, no chemicals addedApril 2016- Installed new 1HP pool motor with seals and gasketsMay 2016- Cleaned the pool weeks (only charged for trips), made trips, no chemicals addedJune 2016- Mrs*** called complaining about the fading of the liner (at the bottom where the chlorine tabs were found in August of 2015), and out of good faith we had another liner made and installed by the month of July (would have been installed at the end of June, if she would have returned the several phone calls made in attempt to get the liner installed)We replaced the liner in July of 2016, NOT because we did anything wrong but to assure Mrs*** that we value our customer service as well as our customers. We do not like to see people upset or feel that they have been wronged by us in any way. In this particular situation, we feel we have done everything we can to satisfy Mrs***. At this point, we feel an injustice has been brought upon us as a companyWe have assured Mrs***, that there are not any issues with the pool bottom that would cause problems. If the bottom was in poor shape, our company would have not have installed a new liner on a bad bottom and risk the chance of voiding any manufacturer warranty that comes with the liner. The installation of the liner was free of charge on liner, labor and chemicals. There is no reason for Mrs*** to be placing such accusations against us when we have done everything we can to try and make her happyAfter the liner was installed, Mrs*** informed us that she thought she had a leak and we quickly responded through many attempts in trying to schedule an appointment with her. We would set an appointment and she would call and cancel, then call back to rescheduleShe then got mad at us because we could not come at the time she specifically requested because we were already booked with other service calls at that time. Mrs*** sent us an email during the meantime to show us pictures of the liner thinking there was something wrong with it. The pictures did not come through very well (honestly, just looked like dirt on the bottom of the pool), but we were finally able to set up an appointment. *** checked the integrity of the liner and even monitored the water level during the week to assure that there was not a leak. We could not find a leak, but suggested American Leak Detection as an option, since Mrs*** felt strongly that it was leaking. Mrs*** was informed that she would be charged for the trip if the leak detection company found a leak in anything but the liner and she was also informed that if the leak detection found something wrong with the liner then we would pay for the bill and do what was needed. She declined the offer and we all went on with our businessWe do not enjoy doing business this way in the least bit, especially with a customer that has a history with our company. We value our customers but we also value our integrity and feel this is overall an unjustified complaint. We have literally bent over backwards to try and appease Mrs***, which is why we told her in our last phone conversation that there was nothing more we can do for her. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call and speak with *** at ***. Thank you for your time and consideration!
Crosby's Roofing put a new roof on my home in May 2010. I was amazed that they did the entire job (nearly 60 squares) and made several small repairs to the decking and facia in ONE day!! While doing the clean-up and loading their gear at the end of the day they damage the screen on my porch. I called Mr. Crosby and he scheduled and sent out 2 men to make the repair a few days later. I've had ZERO issues with the roof and now have them contracted to re-roof my lake house. After my first experience with Crosby's the choice to be a repeat customer was a no-brainer for me. I should have posted this review years ago but didn't know about this site until my salesman told me there was a picture of my house posted here and I came on to look at it. I saw the bad review and just had to share. I'll post again when they finish my lake house and all the extra work I've contracted Crosby's to do for me.
The first time we met [redacted] from Crosby roofing for an estimate, he saw the damage from Hurricane Matthew in the roof which he immediately tarped so that we wouldn't incur further damage. After hiring them, their professional crew paid attention to detail and safety. The roof looks great. My wife and I are very pleased!

Crosby Roofing's work on my house was unfinished and incorrect, and caused exterior damage to my house. After weeks of being ignored, the owner had to come out which resulted in a huge shouting match and he was asked to leave the property. After returning unannounced several times, the problems still existed and were even worsened. I was screamed at (witnessed by my neighbor) and intimidated in person and over the phone by the owner which resulted in the [redacted] Sheriff Department being on site for my safety while he and his crew repaired the damage caused from multiple failed attempts. This was a horrible and unprofessional experience that no one should have to go through when paying thousands of dollars for a roof.

I recently had work done on my home from this company I think they did a great job I would advise anyone to try them.
