Due to a multiple circumstances beyond our control- On May 14, AIS was called to service the home owners irrigation system. On June 15,our service tech arrived at the home owners home. Once at the house, our service tech analyzed the irrigation system from the outside of
the house. Since the water had not been turned on for the summer season the home owner told the service tech he would go into the basement and turn on the water to the system. The home owner came back, and both he and the service tech inspected the pipes and noticed some repairs were needed to be made to the Outside Irrigation System. The service tech then noticed, after some time, that the outside basement cinder block wall was getting damp, which alerted him to the possibility to a leak in the inside of the house. The service tech and the home owner went down to his basement when they both noticed a joint in the copper pipe main was ruptured. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the pipe became ruptured either when the home owner turned on the system or even prior to that event.The next day the home owner called our offices and talked to one of our representatives. During the conversation the home owner insisted the water leakage was our service tech's fault and asked us to make an insurance claim. The representative of our company had already spoken to the service tech prior to the home owners call and had determined that it was not the fault of AIS and was an inside pipe leak that was due to circumstances beyond AIS's control and relayed that to the home owner during the conversation. He also told the home owner that the company would not file an insurance claim.Again, we feel we did nothing wrong with caused this pipe to leak on the inside of the house. Due to circumstances beyond our control we claim no responsibility for the inside faulty pipe

This is an INCORRECT description of the event.All 10 zones were tested and water was ON for 30 minutes without leak. Technician had gone to the basement to make sure Water supply valve was fully open.Pipe burst occurred   due to his rough handling of outside leak fix.
