Good afternoon MrKamis
I will sign the letter you sent meI just want to make sure
that I am not signing away any rights I may have in this situationI am a
disabled and I used part of my life saving to pay for this repairI do not feel
that I am being treated fairlyWhen your team came out and fixed my roof and
had to replace the rotten wood they should have addressed the moisture issue
then, if that is what they knew the problem was with my roofWhy now after the
fact are you telling me I have a moisture issue Instead of asking me, what made me look up at
the roof, and see the damaged area? Your team should have just went ahead and
fixed my roof, when I called your office about this problemNot give me
excusesAnd I thought that those vents your team put on my roof is supposed to
prevent this issue That what I was told
when John came out and gave me the estimate
I have a requestWhen you company comes back to repair my
roof as mentioned in your letterCan you please have the workman check and reseal
the shingles around the dormers of my roofAnd also check the placement of the
ice guard in that areaBecause when my son came over for the holiday he said
that there appears to be some evident of water seepage where the top of the
wall meets the roof in the problem area
As for the Issue you have with the Aprilaire unit attached
to my furnace, as I told and showed you Representative who came to my homeThe
Apirlaire unit has been unplugged for over yearsWe unplug it because we
felt it put too much moisture in our house and the windows would stay fogged up
in the winterMy house is so dry in the winter now when the heat runs, that my
wife and I both suffer nose bleedsWe have been told by medical personnel to
run a humidifier in the winter time to stop this from happeningBut we use moisturizing
nasal spray insteadBecause we don’t want or like the moisture it puts in the air
The unit was in place when we bought our home and we unplugged it after the
first winter

This business response was received by Revdex.com via email and is a copy/paste.Good afternoon *** Attached please find a copy of a statement that we asked *** to sign. He did not. He has a condensation issue in cold weather. Because of the condensation, the roof
sweats and lifts the plywood. When we did his roof in this area was rotted because of the excess moisture within the home, the rotted wood was replaced at that time. We suggested he disconnect the Aprilaire unit from the furnace that adds additional moisture into the home. *** indicated that he did turn the unit off, but it needs to be disconnected as well. From our experience that additional moisture from the Aprilaire unit creates a problem with condensation even if it’s still connected. There could be additional moisture issues in the house that we are not aware of that could also be causing the condensation problem. Signing the statement mentioned above does NOT void his labor warranty on the roof. Best Regards, Mark K*** ***Second To None, Inc
