Our clinic did not have the correct mailing address on file for this patient.Unfortunately this resulted in the patient not receiving billing statements forsix months, in turn resulting in an unpaid account balanceHer address wasupdated in our system in June The patient came to our clinic on 7/22/2015and spoke to one of our financial counselors about the bill she received inJuneThis meeting with the patient resulted in the following: We haveconfirmed the patients mailing addressWe have billed the services to the patient’ssecondary insuranceWe have confirmed with the patient that she does not havea current outstanding balance due to the services being submitted to hersecondary insuranceWe have explained to the patient that once her insuranceprocesses the claims that she will be responsible at that time for any out ofpocket charges not covered by insuranceA follow up call was placed to thepatient on 7/23/to review this information with the patientShe expressedthat she was satisfied with this resolution
