Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this customer inquiryThe customer purchased a nonrefundable parking reservation for our parking facility on Friday September 19, around 9:00amWe had three parking spots left to sell that morning and this customer purchased the last oneOur lot
was then sold out for the weekWe had potential customers arrive at the lot later that morning to park with usSince we were sold out and holding a space for this customer we turned away these potential customersThis customer did not contact us until late in the afternoon when the cruise was departingSince we did not have a chance to resell the parking space his refund request was denied
We offer discounted cruise parking for Seattle cruise guestsWe are able to offer a discount by selling out our lot weeklyOur only concession we ask of our customers for this discount is to submit all cancellation and refund requests one week before the reservation beginsThis allows us to sell it to someone else and keep our lot 100% fullWe inform all customers that all sales in the final week are nonrefundable.
I understand this customer ended up parking at a competitors lotWe provide each customer our address, turn by turn driving directions as well as a map to ensure they arrive at our facilityWe hold a space for each customer assuming they will arrive at our facilityIf we refund this customers parking reservation we would be passing along the cost to other customers restricting our ability to offer the most aggressive and cheapest parking in the area
Since the customer purchased a nonrefundable reservation and we held/reserved a space for the customer we are unable to provide a refund

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this customer inquiry. The customer paid for and reserved a space at our parking facility for September 16th – 23rd. Upon reserving parking the customer received a ticket confirmation, receipt and directions to our facility. Based off of the information...
provided by the customer in previous communications as well as this complaint it appears the customer ended up at our competitors lot. It’s unfortunate that their traffic directors and parking lot attendants provided incorrect information. Our parking confirmation ticket and directions provided to the customer upon booking clearly show our address and turn-by-turn directions to our lot. It’s unfortunate that our competitor let them in their parking lot knowing full well they were in the wrong place. We have had a few of their customers end up at our lot mistakenly and we always direct them to the correct lot. The information provided by the parking lot attendant at the other lot is wrong and self serving for them. This is not a frequent problem and has happened less than 10 times this year. They absolutely don’t speak on our behalf and were clearly trying to cover their dishonest business practices by suggesting we would refund the customer. It’s great to hear that the customer used our directions to find our lot quickly after realizing the mistake they made. Since our parking lot attendants on site do not have the ability to access our booking system they referred the customer to our office and provided them an email and phone number. Upon contacting us a manager quickly responded to the customers informing them that we are unable to provide refunds as we were sold out that week and turned away other customers to hold a space for them. Seattle CruisePark is proud to offer parking for $42 less than the terminal parking lot. We are able to provide the best rates possible by selling every space in our lot on a weekly basis. We also don’t believe in overselling our lot like a hotel or the airlines do. We hold a space for each reservation and turn people away when we are full. If we refund this customers parking reservation we would be passing along the cost to other customers restricting our ability to offer the most aggressive and cheapest parking in the area. Since we held/reserved a space for the customer we are unable to provide a refund. I thank you for taking the time and effort to bring this to our attention.
