Review: On May 11, 2013, I hosted a dinner event, called the [redacted] at Seasons Restaurant. When setting up the event with the general manager, [redacted], $382 in wine ($494.61 including tax and service charge) was specifically ordered with the types and quantities of wine being specified, resulting in a $397 ($514.04 including tax and service charge) differential between the ordered and served/billed amount. During the dinner, $779.00 ($1,008.65 including tax and service charge) of alcohol was served and billed. When setting up the dinner, the general manager [redacted] was specifically informed that I would have to approve purchase of any alcohol beyond what was initially ordered. I was not, at any time, informed of an increase in the amount of alcohol being served and billed. On June 16, 2013, an email was sent to Seasons Restaurant detailing the problem and requesting to start a dialogue seeking a resolution to this issue. On this email, due to misunderstanding, I stated a higher than actual price for the alcohol bill, but the amount is still considerable. On June 19, 2013, I received a reply from the Seasons Restaurant general manager [redacted]. She corrected my error in the amount of alcohol sold, but also stated that she would make no adjustments to the bill.Attached to this complaint is a document containing the email thread ordering the wine, my complaint and [redacted] refusal to come to a solution. The document also contains a copy of the itemized receipt and a breakdown comparison of the ordered and billed alcohol amounts.
Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund
I would like to split the difference on the overage of alcohol costs, including tax and service charges. The difference between the ordered and billed amounts, including tax and service charge, is $514.04. If Seasons Restaurant would refund $257.02, half of the overage, I feel this would be a fair settlement, given that this issue could have been the result of some confusion.
