I have been in contact with Mr [redacted] in attempt to resolve his concerns on several occasionsAfter I received his initial complaint, I sent our plumber back out to investigate the discrepanciesAt that time we performed a pressure test with all the angle stops off (with exception of the washing machine due to inaccessibility)We took a video of a significant drop indicating there was still a leakThe information gathered indicated a leak, but it couldn’t possibly be at the toilet as described because the angle stop was turned off at the toiletBecause of the conflicting information, we wanted to speak with the technician at the other companyThat would give us the opportunity to confirm or deny the allegations that we misdiagnosed the leakWe have reached out to [redacted] , the owner of the company Mr [redacted] employed, on multiple occasions to no availUnfortunately, we cannot move forward until such conversations happenI encouraged Mr [redacted] to reach out to the owner we have contacted in order to move things along and he refusedWe are happy to try and resolve his concerns once we are able to speak with the appropriate parties Thank you, Clarke Kent Plumbing
Thank you for sharing your concernsI am responding in hopes to clarify the events of the service you received on December 26, Our plumber located your water leak and started diggingOnce the line was exposed, he found a significant amount of tree roots that penetrated your main water
lineAt that time, he stopped and gave you two options: 1) reroute the line to avoid the roots, 2) or get a tree inspection performed before we can continuePlease understand, we must comply with the City of Austin’s regulations in regard to protected treesBefore we are allowed to remove a large volume or roots, the City of Austin’s Arborist has to perform a tree inspectionThis is to ensure the work we perform will not damage, or potentially kill the treeFailure to comply could result in serious finesWhen presented with the options, you refused both and chose to get another opinionThe plumber invoiced you for the work he performed up to that pointIn the meantime, you called another plumber who chose to complete the work without an inspectionThe other plumber who ultimately completed the work also denoted on his invoice (that you sent me), “cut a lot of roots.” We strive to give great customer service while being in compliance with all City and State regulationsI am sorry you do not feel like you received superior experienceWe hope we can serve you again in the future. Thank you,Clarke Kent Plumbing

The information gathered indicated a leak, but it couldn’t possibly be at the toilet as described because the angle stop was turned off at the toilet. Because of the conflicting information, we wanted to speak with the technician at the other company. That would give us the opportunity to confirm or deny the allegations that we misdiagnosed the leak. We have reached out to [redacted], the owner of the company Mr. [redacted] employed, on multiple occasions to no avail. Unfortunately, we cannot move forward until such conversations happen.
