We reached out to *** *** Member Advocate for Service Uni* ***, to assist with Ms*** concernMs*** reviewed the service orders and followed up with Ms*** after the service visit on October 3, Ms*** confirmed that the tech had ordered the necessary parts and at that time, she was just waiting for the parts to arriveMs*** assured her that she would monitor the repairOn October 12, 2016, Ms*** confirmed that the repair on the dishwasher was completed on October 11, She tested the dishwasher on one cycle and it did not leakHowever, she would continue to test the remaining cycles and would contact Ms*** directly if there were any additional issuesWith that being said, since the dishwasher repair has been completed, we have closed our file

We have completed the investigation of Ms* *** complaint regarding the multiple repairs on her washer.
Upon receiving Ms* *** complaint, we have reviewed her service history and can understand why she was frustrated with her experience. Unfortunately, we do have times where the repair that was completed does not resolve all of the issues that might have been present. This is usually not discovered until the customer has a chance to let the item run for awhile. Regrettably, we do have to balance the amount of time spent at one location versus the other customers who have also been scheduled for service and this means that it is not always possible for our technicians to spend an extended amount of time at one location. We understand that this can be frustrating when a customer has a situation like Ms***, and we are pursuing solutions that will provide better options for our customers when these issues occur. We would like to note that under the terms of Ms* *** Master Protection Agreement (MPA), in order to receive a replacement, she would need to have functional failures within a calendar year. Ms*** has had a MPA check on 7/25/which does not constitute as a functional failure. She had repair on 8/01/where no parts were replaced and the technician instructed Ms*** on how to properly clean the dispenser regularly. This visit would not constitute as a functional failure. Repair completed on 12/02/is considered as a functional failure as the wire harness was bad. Repair has not been scheduled for 1/19/where several parts are to be replaced and this is also considered a functional failure. That being said, Ms*** has only had failures under her MPA and is therefore not eligible for a replacement unit. That being said, Ms*** will need to continue with repair under the terms of her MPA. Because we have addressed Ms* *** complaint, we respectfully request this complaint be closed

I contacted Sears to come repair our dryer that stopped workingThe gentleman came out and replaced a thermal fuse that was blownThis fixed the problem for a day and then it stopped working againWe called Sears back and they sent the tech back outHe immediately told my wife "Do not call Sears back if it breaks again, I get in trouble for thatCall my cell phone instead"He replaced the thermal fuse again and leftThe thermal fuse blew again the next dayWe tried reaching him on his cell phone but he didn't answer or return our call that dayThe next day I called Sears back and asked if they could send a different tech, as I felt this tech may not be capable of properly diagnosing the problemThe next day the new technician called before he came and said "If the other guy couldn't fix it then it probably needs an expensive part or just needs to be trashed"I told him not to come and then I got online and started googling why a thermal fuse would keep going outMy findings were that the thermostat was probably bad and was causing the dryer to get too hotI tested the thermostat and it wasn't workingI ordered a new one and it came a few days laterI installed the new thermostat and new thermal fuse and we have now had a working dryer for nearly three weeksThere are probably better companies out there but I strongly recommend that you use anyone other than Sears or *** *** *** (The company that Sears sent to our home)! I called them up to report the incompetent technician and they sent a reply asking why I demanded my money backI never demanded anything back, just told them this same story in hopes that they would address itMy $loss is enough to make me warn others about their inability to diagnose and repair an issue properlyBeware of Sears Home Services and *** *** ***

We would first like to note that the listing for the chairs in question clearly says “* Limited availability” and “*this is a seasonal item with limited availability and is no longer available in all areas.”
As clarification, our website sells items for all of our states and items might be shown on our website that are in stock in one state that are not in stock in another state. This is because most large items that we sell ship out of regional warehouses. Once that region is out of stock on an item, it is not available in that area. While we sometimes do large-scale transfers between warehouses when needed, we are not able to transfer merchandise out to fulfill a sale on an individual basisOnce all warehouses have depleted their stock then we do have a team behind the scenes that removes the item from our websiteWhile we can understand Mr*** frustration, at this time the reality remains that the item he was interested in was not available in his regional areaWe apologize for any inconvenience Mr*** may have experienced as a result of this issue, but this is a seasonal item and the availability is limited as noted on the pageIn light of the aforementioned information, we respectfully ask that this matter be considered closed Again, we apologize to Mr*** and appreciate the opportunity to address this matter. immediately reviewed the service history on his refrigerator and noticed that
the main computer board was ordered one week prior on the 20th and was
not scheduled to ship until November 3rdI then emailed *** ***
and offered to replace his refrigerator instead of him waiting for the
backordered part to ship and then have to wait to have it installedThat said,
we did replace the refrigerator and unbeknownst me the manufacturer of the
refrigerator did ship the backordered part to *** *** Noted as his desired
resolution, *** *** asks how Sears is going to compensate him for his
inconvenience. Additionally *** ***
states that he will not accept compensation for food loss and $
reimbursement towards a small appliance purchaseThe $offer was made to
reimburse for the purchase of a compact refrigeratorI do not see where that a
compact mini refrigerator was purchasedOn October 10th, the first
time our customer care network spoke with *** ***, he was also offered food
loss reimbursementIt is important to note that per the manufacturer’s warranty,
Sears shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damagesThis means
Sears is not responsible for food loss reimbursement, but since it was offered,
we are willing to provide *** *** with a sales adjustment in the amount of $200.00,
which we will provide to him in the form of a bank check as a gesture of good
customer serviceTypically a consumer can expect to receive a bank check
within 10-days of processingIf *** *** would like to accept our offer of
$in food loss reimbursement, he can email me at *** and I
will process the sales adjustment right awayRegarding the previous customer
service received, it should be known that we do value *** *** patronage,
but can understand how the series of events noted in his complaint and emails

Upon review of this issue, we did find that points were removed from Ms***'s Rapid Rewards account in errorThese points have been replaced and it is our understanding that Cartera was going to contact Ms*** to adviseHowever, the points added back were not the same amountMs*** only qualified for 8,points total for both orders according to the rules of the Rapid Rewards program, which is administered by *** airlines and CarteraAccording to those rules, miles are awarded for gift card purchases and product purchasesMiles are not awarded for redemption of gift cards or any other form of reward pointsMiles are also not awarded on taxes, fees or delivery chargesSince Ms*** has received the points she was due, we respectfully ask that this matter be considered closed
