Seaport Campground

Review: Seaport Campground did not honor the terms of my reservations made under ownership of Morgan RV Resorts.

I made reservations through Morgan RV Resorts, the previous owners, for a six night stay at a 50% discounted rate of $19 per night. That rate included water, electricity, and cable TV service.

This was done on 1/9/13 for a stay from 4/18/13 through 4/24/13.

This was a common practice with Morgan and I used it in the past.

SUN RV Resorts purchased this property and changed the terms with no notice. They removed cable TV and did not honor the discounted rate which I had already paid in full.

When I arrived they told me I had a balance due and didn't bother to tell me there was no cable any more. I had to discover that myself.

I paid $181.42 in full for 6 nights including tax and Morgan's optional insurance that let me cancel or reschedule in case I couldn't make the dates reserved.

They changed the terms, and their bill makes no sense for totals, to $222 for the stay with no cable TV.Desired Settlement: I already scheduled vacation days and was given no opportunity to cancel in advance so I ended up paying the additional money when I arrived.

I spent a week not getting service I paid for that was subsequently charged additional money for. I wasted a week of my vacation time. With what they provided I would never have made a reservation in the first place.

They should have honored the reservation contract that they purchased from Morgan RV.

They should refund the stay.
