Review: Contracted with this carpenter to do a small bathroom remodel, install some tile, siding work at the back lean-to and install a new back door and add two storm doors for $11,400 on January 28 of this year. There was some plumbing work with the project which was included in the total. The work was started the begining of Feburary. The work draged on from the start when he claimed that the big box store was making repeated mistakes on his door order. As the weather improved and he picked up other work the excuses for not completing continued. I have paid him $9,500 to date. He has failed to install the storm doors; finish the back door installation; install the rain hood over the back door; complete the siding; repair cracked tile; install the baseboard rediator cover; install the rear door hardware; completed the finish painting. When I gave him the last check (in May) he told me that the plumber was to receive the balance of the money. Since then he has only showed up for a half day and that was because the plumber contacted. I informed the plumber I would not pay the balance till the job was completed. He no longer answers my calls.Desired Settlement: There are tenants living in the house and they are forced to live in an unfinished situation. This needs to be finished now. The last time he talked to me in June he said he had all of the remaining supplies.
