Please do not use this companyThey did came out and did our new asphalt driveway and it was a horrible jobPlaced many calls to them and went down to the officeNo return phone calls at allThis was over a week periodSo we ended up going to the City of Batavia who issued the permitThey came out to do a final inspection and could not believe what a horrible job they didThey in turn sent a letter to Dan from SealCoat SolutionsStating that for ever day it was not fixedWith in hours we heard from his wife Nancy on a Sunday eveningWe did not get the call until late that nightThey showed up on Monday morning to fix the issuesWhich they tried toStill have issues with itIt is higher then the street level and higher then our garage floorWe have two very large ponds on it when it rainsNot worth making any calls that you know will not be returnedCustomer service there is just so unprofessional it is not even funnyOut some big bucks for a couple that are retired and have a limited salaryDo not use them!!!!!!
After reading their great score on Revdex.com we hired this company to do our drivewayNot pleased at all with the customer serviceWhen I called the office to get an idea of when the work would begin the girl repeated we will call you a day before multiple timesI had to finally ask her to get a supervisor on the phoneWe were then notified that we were scheduled on in the late morningWrong they came mid afternoon and I had to leave for workThey asked me to leave my garage door open and they would shut itYeah nope I am not doing that when I am not homeI told the workers that I leave at and asked them to come earlier to finish the job todayHmmm it is and they are here again at 1pm asking me to leave the garage door openGot an attitude from the guy as well when I told him noI would not recommend this company to anyoneYour customer service is terribleThe woman who answers the phone only knows how to say I don't do the scheduling then promises to ask and call back and never doesI just hope that the quality of the work is good and we will see after daysMy suggestion please find a company that has better customer serviceI am not asking for the world but when I am told that they would be here late morning so they could finish the pervious days job in the early morning I expect the same as my job was not finished the first day and was not important enough to finish the following early morningPlease do not call me to offer any excuses in regards to thisI would hope that you care enough to find solutions to improve your customer service
I dont know how the Revdex.com is letting this company be accredited with an A+ RatingThis company should be removed and with an F RatingThis is how terrible this company isMy husband signed a quote to get our driveway done with asphalt back on 9/25/The quote stated the following for the amount of $2165.50: Remove and Replace: -Remove and dispose of existing asphalt -Install CA-Gravel Mix, as needed to insure a minof (6) inches of stone -Fine grade and compact gravel base -Install (3) inches of compacted surface asphalt level with concrete surfaces They requested we give them a 50% deposit prior to starting the drivewayWhich we were Not gonna provide because this was a day job! On 9/they called my husband and said they would be out to start the job on 9/and we could pay them when the job was completedThey arrived with six guysof them were standing around and watching the other guys work and they only worked for about hrs, if even thatThey tore up the driveway and put some gravel down (Only a half of a truck load, if that)They said they had to wait for the inspector to come out and inspect the job before going furtherThe inspector came around 1:pm, on that same dayThey said they would come back either later that afternoon or next day to pave and no show! Dan (Owner) sends my husband a text @ 8:pm (That same night they did the tare up) and states we need to pay him an additional $for gravelWhen it clearly states in the contract "as needed"My husband clearly told him noWe are NOT paying for that additional gravelHe should have contacted him at the time they were putting the gravel downBut instead had to wait until late in the evening to do that! We would have never agreed anyway to that priceDan sends my husband another text saying "he had $in Gravel, $in dump fees and hours of trucking gravel in and soil out." My husband texts him back and said "What is that suppose to mean?" We had to wait for all the rain to stop and that was on 10/1/On Oct 3, My husband sent Dan a text to find out when they were coming back? Dan says he has to wait a couple of days to let it dry out Oct 5, my husband sends out another text to find out what is going onDan says "the guys were coming back out in the afternoon to check for the stability in the gravel and Dan says the soil under the driveway is holding waterI will let you know, what happens this afternoon." Really, news Flash this is the first about hearing about any the soil issue, nowOnce again, No show or never got a response back from DanWe had went back down to West Chicago to get a hold of the inspectorNow he has to come back out and re-inspectWe also, cancelled the contract with Dan/ Sealcoat Solutions as we are getting nothing but excuses and the run aroundToday- 10/7/16-We were just told by the city of west chicago inspector- Dan did not put enough gravel down (some areas only had 1" versus other areas up to 3" and also put the incorrect gravel on our drivewayDan put crushed limestone down instead of the #CA-stone (for the base)We believe this is why he never came back to finish the driveway because he knew it would not pass 2nd inspection with the City of West ChicagoNEVER GIVE THIS COMPANY ANY MONEY UPFRONT and STAY AWAYThey are scammers and cannot be up front and honest with their customersByou have your own business be aware cause the girl Misty that works in their officeWent on [redacted] and gave our business a bad reviewAs, they are/were making threats to customers who do not pay and now they are going as far as putting falsifying reviews for peoples bizHow immature!
