Non-responsive to emergent call regarding a previous repair that failed leaving water free flowingCall and situation was dealt with as a call SDL was sent by American Home Shield to repair what was found to be an irrigation leak near the water main.On December 13th we noticed a re occurrence of the same leakWe called the morning of the 13th to have a tech come back out as an emergent call as the leak was free flowing and gushing down the street at a faster rateI was told they do not have an emergency tech available and I would need to schedule an appointmentI told them I would take first available which was between and 2pm on December 14th.After, I returned from work, I noticed the situation had worsened so I called again to get a tech out immediately only to get the same responseI then attempted to at least shut off the water in some fashion to provide a band aid until the company could come out the following day.No more than hour later the condition further wors
SDL overcharged me $for a repairThey told me that they needed to run a machine to unclog a drain and that technicians were required SDL way overcharged meThey gave the indication that they needed to run a machine to unclog a drain beneath a sinkThey also said they needed to replace a metal p-trap with pvcThey said they needed to bill for techhnicians to be able to maeuver the pedestal sinkThe estimate was $When technicians showed up and completed the job within minutes, I questioned the complexity of the job and priceThey told me they used a snake (manually- a tool- NOT a machine!), and did not even have to touch the sink to replace the p-trap or dislodge the clogSo the estimate did not change and I was charged full price for the repair that did not require use of a machine and did not require billing technicians for the jobsI was grossly overcharged in that case and when I asked those questions of the techs, they suggested that I call the business

Beware of this company Based on my experience, they were dispatched by American Home Shield and told me the problem was a very complex fix (leaking shutoff valve to a water supply for fridge.) and that they would need to cut out sheet rock, etcand that they would need to get an approval from the warranty company He said he could do the work for $(Averee was the technicians name) and said they would get back to me as everything should be covered with no issues They do this work all the time Found out from AHS that when he left they said there was mold all in the walls, etc Oddly enough it was off for over a week as we had almost $20K in wood floors installed with no issues, but the the turning it on an off caused a drip with the valve so I just had a line running into the sink till someone could be dispatched No mold or anything Pure fabrication They also said it was noted in my home inspection and when I asked what page of the inspection, they couldn't tell me....IT WAS ALL A LIE They sent out an alternate company afterward who diagnosed the problem and replaced the valve in less than minutes with a $part with no need to cut sheet rock, etcfor the valve replacementTurns out they knew the company and when I referenced that another company came out and never returned and filed a claim, he said "Was it SDL Plumbing?", I responded "How did you know?" and he said he just left another job that they did the same thing It sounds like they they have a few plumbers going around collecting the $trade fee and have found a way to keep their contract with AHS despite all the negative reviews and feedback I'm also filing a Better Business Review Review as well, as they are taking advantage of consumers on large scale based on all the other feedback They need to be investigated in more detail You may also want to check out the many YELP REVIEWS on them: https://www.yelp.com/biz/sdl-plumbing-seagoville?osq=sdl+plumbing
I have two toilets back to back that we're both cloggedI've only been living here a few months and have not flushed anything but toilet paper I called my home warranty company and they sent someone out the next dayThe first plumber that came out tried to tell me that my house did not have a clean out and it would cost me a few hundred dollars to have him bring some men and a big machine out to access the pipes from my roofI told him no, and went outside and found the clean out myselfI called them back and they did not seem concerned about the gross misinformation but said someone would be right back out in the morningSo I took the day off work waiting for them, no one calledI called them around noon and asked when someone would be hereAt this point it's been days since I have had a functioning toiletThey said that my timeframe was PM to PM, but no one informed me of thisAt PM a man called and said his car had broken down and he was waiting for helpI called the company several times before I got them to send someone else out and buy this time it was around PMThe man that came out was complaining and grumpy, I tried to avoid himHe finally knocked on the door and told me that a baby wipe had caused the clogOne baby wipeHe then proceeded to lecture me about flushing wipes down the toilet, in which I told him I had notI was also very surprised that one wipe would clog the whole systemBut he told me that I had flushed it and if they had to come back out for another baby wipe that I would be charged full price regardless of my warranty So in addition to the first plumber trying to scam me, the second Plumber no showing, and the third blaming me for the problem, I was told that any further issues would be on my dime regardless of my pricey warranty, which is very concerning knowing that it is very likely that there are more wipes in the system that will eventually cause a stoppageThis is a very dishonest and incompetent companyThey should not have a license to practice
On May XX XXXX at PM an SDL Plumbing employee responded to my home to repair a Moen faucetThe employee told me that the faucet was broken and had to be replaced at a cost of $
After the employee left I called the Moen customer service deptand the Moen employee told me that the faucet did not need to be replacedThe Moen employee said the cartridge needed to be replaced and I could purchase the cartridge for $at Home Dept or LoewsI emailed the Moen employee a photo of my Moen faucet and he emailed me a photo of the cartridge with instructions on how to fix the faucetI phoned SDL Plumbing and advised the clerical person and she stated that she would advsise the owner Mr.*** and the plumbing supervisor of what occurredI then forwarded the info that I received from Moen to SDL Plumbing and I received a email back from the SDL Plumbing clerical person acknowledging that SDL Plumbing received the emailOn May XX XXXX I phoned SDL Plumbing at 9:AM and the c
Had a water leak under my home that was not fixed
This company was sent to our home through American Home Shield home warranty companyWe received other quotes from different companies, but decided to go with this one since it was on the list through AHSThis was the only company that said the leak was in the kitchenThey created a report and said the leak was not covered under our warrantyThey came out and decided the leak was under the kitchen in the water linePer our invoice # XXXXX $6,was paid for digging and repair of the leakAfter the "leak" was "fixed" we were then told they found another leak coming out of the tunnel indicating another leakThis second leak is in the area where the other companies said the leak was likely coming fromAnother technician was sent to the home to find exactly where the leak was coming from and he said he could not find another leakThis technician was different from the original technicianThe second time they came out they d
American Home Shield to repair sent out SDL Plumbing to repair my toiletsThe technician showed up and said he would have to order partsThe technician did not have the parts with him but he had checked and they had them at a company waiting for "will call" waiting to be picked up and they would call me to schedule installation weeks later I still had not heard from SDL so I called them and was told someone would call me back in 24hrs, they never called me back, days later still no phone call from SDLI called again and got their voicemail, left a message, still no return call I called AHS and informed them what was going on and that I was upset with their contractor and why AHS then contacted SDL who told AHS that they had just received the parts yesterday (sure they did)I guess it took them weeks to pick the parts from their supplier who had them waiting at "will call" Now if the parts were really on order for weeks why didn't they call me or at least answer my phone calls I really don't think toilet parts are on the endangered species list to take weeks to get
American Home Shield sent out SDL to fix a leaking refrigerator and a stuck garage disposalSDL arived on time and got both jobs done quicklyNo issues
Very disappointedThey installed a new faucet in my kitchen, which became loose within weeks of installationAlso, when they were here, the technician asked if he could install a faucet that has one handle/sprayer vs the it originally had, because "it would be easier" for him, I told him that he could, and he couldn't even get it right! Horrible experience
American Home Shield sent this *** company to repair fix my water heater. The plumber was not capable to provide an estimate of repairs
The plumber should work in a University as a Professor because he seems to be a good lecturer. He failed to provide exact estimate of repairs needed to fix water heaterWe all already knew its broken but he was unable to fix anything or provide an estimate
We were misled to believe we needed plumbing repairs that we did not need $was charged to our credit cardIssue with clogging never resolved
In late November of our sewer line became cloggedWe notified AHS about our plumbing problemAHS dispatched SDL Plumbing
XX-X-XXXX Travis Bearden with SDL Plumbing was sent to us to unclog sewer lineWe paid a $chargeStoppage was cleared
XX-X-XXXX Sewer line clogged againSandy O'Neil with SDL Plumbing was sent to us to unclog sewer lineStoppage was cleared and Sandy provided a quote to fix the plumbing problemSee attached receipt dated 12-9, quoting $for complete job
Quote reads: Line in yard- $1500, Cleanout- $489, Locate- $349, Total Job- $
12-27-Sandy came out installed cleanoutWe were told by *** at SDL that Sandy ran a camera this same daySandy collected $and leftSandy did no repair to line in yard, but still charged us the full $
We called to ask for an explanation for
SDL came out to perform a repair a clogged line through our American Home Shield warrantyThe first time they came out they ran a snake and we were told there was no problem with the lineThe issue was not resolved and the line was still backing up the following dayWe called AHS once more to have the issue looked at againSDL came back out, but this time the tech told us that there was a break in the line due to an old pipe corrodingThe tech (who was very friendly) then said they would call AHS to schedule a camera to determine how best to repair the lineLater that day we received a call from AHS stating that SDL had informed them that there was a break in the line due to foundation issuesFurthermore they stated that there were cracks in our ceiling, interior walls and exterior wallsNone of this was trueWe purchased the home just a few months prior and had an inspection on the home and foundation which found the foundation to be in good shapeThere are zero cracks in any of the areas that SDL reported to AHSI am not sure what SDL's motivation for lying about the state of our home isBut it is very concerning that AHS would contract out work to a company like thisIf the next contractor isn't any better we will not renew our AHS contract and certainly will not be using SDL again
Did not provided a diagnosis for busted water heater as he was told to provide to home warranty co
SDL was sent out by home warranty company for busted water heater Since the water heater was elevated in a closet he said we needed to provide him access and he could not remove it I then called a more capable plumber to remove it and put in the garage He then returned and said he couldn't give a diagnosis because the heater was removed
Plumbers from SDL plumbing came out due to a leaking hose bib in the backyardThe leak was very small and wasn't very noticeableWithout even turning on the water they determined that the whole hose bib needed to be replaced to the tune of $+ dollarsAfter they left I went out and tightened the hose bib valve stem and boom leak goneHow does a company of plumbers do what I a non plumber could do in minutesThey didn't even turn on the water to check the leak! What a waste of a service call feeIf the leak comes back I can just replace the valve stem for under $bucks
This company is huge on price gouging and not actually doing workPlumber, Noel informed my my problem was actually with the HVAC unit, but failed to submit in his notes to my warranty companyThe warranty company and I have now called him two days in a row with no answer and when he finally answers he changes is diagnosticHe informed me if the HVAC issue is not resolved it will become a plumbing issue My warranty company uses this company for plumbing and it seems as though theyou would rather the HVAC issue becomeso a plumbing issue so my warranty company is paying themore once againMeanwhile, I'm still having the same problem in my house! Horrible service and company!
This company is EXTREMELY dishonestWe paid for a leak test and they tunneled under our house to "fix" the "leak"Then they came back and said there was another "leak" and needed to tunnel even furtherAnother technician was sent out and he never saw a leakThat was very suspiciousWe ended up paying them for a fixing a leak that was never a leakHad another company come out and they corrected the leak that was nowhere near where they were "fixed the leak" and no tunneling was requiredNEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SHADY PEOPLE!!! I just hate I had to give them at least star
The home warranty company I subscribe to has assigned SDL Plumbing in June, and March, to repair several leaks and a stoppage at my condoBoth times, SDL has sent out "***", so I can only speak for this one plumber's abilitiesBoth times, the work was thorough, excellent, diagnosed correctly, explained to me in detail when I asked, done with great pride and professionalismIn fact, the warranty company sent out a different plumbing companyThis company, I felt, was both misinformed, misdiagnosed and stated things in such a way that the warranty company denied coverageThat tech/plumber was inexperienced about one important area that caused the denialI asked for a 2nd opinion from SDL and got what I expected; a totally different interpretation of the problems and a far more experienced plumber, ***!! I rate this company ++!! In my experience!! Maybe, they had bad employees when the negative reviewers used this companyI cannot say
SDL overcharged me $for a repairThey told me that they needed to run a machine to unclog a drain and that technicians were required
SDL way overcharged meThey gave the indication that they needed to run a machine to unclog a drain beneath a sinkThey also said they needed to replace a metal p-trap with pvcThey said they needed to bill for techhnicians to be able to maeuver the pedestal sinkThe estimate was $When technicians showed up and completed the job within minutes, I questioned the complexity of the job and priceThey told me they used a snake (manually- a tool- NOT a machine!), and did not even have to touch the sink to replace the p-trap or dislodge the clogSo the estimate did not change and I was charged full price for the repair that did not require use of a machine and did not require billing technicians for the jobsI was grossly overcharged in that case and when I asked those questions of the techs, they suggested that I call the business
This is the worst company aroundThey came out and I have Home warranty and they said I would have to pay $just for him to pin point where the leak is at and I already told him where is was locatedI give this Company a zero rating
