Review: Failure to return monies owed on a job that was canceled due to issues with completion of a project. [redacted] guaranteed delivery on two different occasions and when further pressed it was discovered that the project was not completed let alone in condition for installation.[redacted] was given 1 month to complete the refund. Any further contact has been ignored by the owner.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my investment refunded as was agreed per our conversation. Where the [redacted] stated that the refund would be issued less the charge for the design of the project.

Customer
was advised on several occasions that the job was being processed; design work
for the project had been completed and approved by the customer, and it was in
the process of being manufactured as it was a custom order. However, she was
never guaranteed an exact date for completion and installation of the signage,
all dates provided were estimates, pending delivery of materials specifically
ordered for this project, as well as weather conditions that permitted
installation of the signage outdoors – both of these were out of the company’s
control. Despite this being explained to the customer, she insisted on
canceling the order even though it was almost completed. The company owner
agreed to cancel the order and refund the deposit the customer had given, less
the charge for the design work of the project. Customer was told that the
refund will be processed, but that she needed to give the company time since
the deposit had b een used to purchase custom materials for the job, which
could not be returned and caused a loss to the company. Customer was contacted
on April **, 2015 and advised the refund was ready to be picked up. The check
for the refund amount agreed on was picked up and cashed by the customer the
following day, April **, 2015.
