Review: Hired contractor to build garage, stone work, plumbing, yard work and some other improvements. I gave contractor to much of the money now he won't finish the work. Garage finish date on contract is 5 weeks past completion date. Other venders he used to purchase materials for garage tell me his ck bounced and a lien will be placed on MY property until paid. Say's he lost phone, was in auto wreck, doesn't know how to install garage door and has lied many times about county inspections. Has not been on job for over a week or called. Will not answer phone. Came and put a door lock on garage and did not leave me a key. Had to pay for lock smith and garage door repair man to correct many issues with installation. County to inspect and notify me of ant deficiencies for final. He has caused me extra month's with my storage rental.Desired Settlement: Notice for him to complete unfinished work and correct areas that are unsatisfactory and not to code. Show proof he has paid all vendors so no liens will be placed on my property and if any are placed by the time this is resolved, have them removed at his cost. If he chooses, estimates are to be acquired on unfinished work and he has option to repay me to have a professional finish work. Next option is small claims court. I have all deposited cks written to contractor, copy of contract and pics
