I have never posted a complaint about the service of a company, but my experience with Louisville Roto-Rooter *** *** *** * *** ** *** *** ** *** *** I initially called Hoosier Plumbing/Roto-Rooter because my water pressure on the cold side was different than that of the hot water and I thought there may have been a slight leak to attend to A leak was found and repaired, but the increase in pressure managed to dislodge other pipesThree days later I came home to find a literal waterfall in my back roomI turned off the water, pulled up the carpet, set a fan, and contacted the business manager the next dayHe sent the plumber back overHe said the glue he had applied let looseI complained about the ruined carpet, sheetrock, a cabinet that got soaked and the fact that a cap was placed where my washer connection belongedThis plumber* *** claimed he would return that Saturday to make the repairs but he didn’t show upNor did he callHe had asked
I contracted roto-rooter to come to my property at *** *** Dr, Louisville, KY *** to fix the drain pipe because the sewage was backing upThey ran a sewer camera and told me that we need to replace the drain line due to roots in the lineWith their sewer camera equipment they measured where the drain line runs and needs to be replacedThey provided the estimate based on their measurement that the pipe break is right next to the house foundation We were told that the biggest cost to the job was digging by the house foundation, because of the liability that came with itThey charged us $to dig 10’ by the house and additional $to dig the other 23’ to the MSD clean outThey also stated that we must remove the porch before they get started on the job, or they will charge us extra if they have to remove it themselvesIn order to avoid the extra charges, we removed the porch per their requestOnce roto-rooter completed the job and I provided them the payment in
The technician that serviced my plumbing failed to write down on the invoice that he cleaned out one of my pipes so the office says I have no warranty for the serviceThe drain is backing up again after only days
Roto Rooter Tech, *** snaked the main drain and let us know it wasn't simply going to be fixed by snaking it and recommended a look with their camera and/or use a high pressure jet to unclog the main drainSince I had already had my drain snaked, they gave me a discount on the camera workThank God for that; I saved $Pressure washing was not done since George (another Professional) found blockage due to roots coming from a Rose of Sharon tree I planted years ago right over the main drain line about feet from the houseDustin gave me an estimated price and said he would go back to the office and work up an exact price to replace about feet of drain pipeI told him I would need to call around for a couple more bids because that is how I rollHe told me they are not the cheapest and not the most expensive, but they do what they say and stand behind itHe sent me an email proposal in a couple hours and it was so much better than his original estimate I didn't even waste time calling aroundI told him they had the job if they could get it done by next dayHere comes the most impressive part of the storyThey were already booked up for several days, but I told him we had company coming from out of town and now they would be staying at a hotel so Dustin said he would call me back after he talked to the Boss, TJ Swan(Forgive me for waiting a couple weeks before writing this review, Sir.) The Amazing Dustin called back and said they would get the job done next day, but couldn't tell me exact timeHAThat is no problemNext day service is as good as it gets under these circumstancesThey had another job to finish first and were down truck necessary to move equipment and stone to the jobDustin thought they would be at our home by early afternoon and arrived mid morningThe Service Techs, Shannon and Billy were incredibly pleasant and professionalI was so glad to be off work that day and spend it watching them workBilly works his butt off and does it with a smileShannon is a Doctor with his precision back hoe skills as he dug around the Rose of Sharon tree and then dug under the tree to save it versus pulling it out to get to the affected section of pipeHe even had to do this with the pressure of not knowing where our water line was, because the people who were supposed to mark it didn't even do soThey just painted a circle around my water meter which is at the street and painted a line into the street; no lines into my yard towards the houseAnyways, Shannon and Billy are a joy to behold when they workDustin and TJ stopped by to see how things were going and assured me everything was going to be wellThe consummate professional, TJ even gave me tips on helping the tree survive this major operation since the roots were being cut intoThe job was completed by about 5pm with a foot section being replaced, stone shoveled under and over the replaced pipe and dirt backfilled as neatly as possibleIt looks great!!! OHAlmost forgotThe City Waste Water boss of Jeffersonville had to inspect the job prior to being backfilled and told us a backwater flow valve had to be installedI was having a 2-directional cleanout put in anyways so Roto Rooter installed a multi-use valve which is a backflow and cleanout combined rather than two separate valvesThat was an added cost to the job, but I believe it was a fair price given a last minute additionI FULLY believe Roto Rooter, TJ *** and the Amazing Dustin, did EVERYTHING possible to ensure I was COMPLETELY satisfied with their work and priceI am thrilled to know I found the BEST plumbing contractors in our areaThanks to my wife choosing them in the first place is miraculousTo ***, George, Shannon, Billy, Dustin and TJ we say THANK YOU for ALL you doThank you for adding a tree root treatment and bottle of drain cleaning treatment on top of snaking the line in both directions after installing the affected main drainThere is nothing you could have done differently or betterWe are grateful and telling everyone about you
to put it simple: roto rooter gave me an estimate of $which included removing and replacing a x piece of sidewalk which made the price jump by a lot
they did NOT have to remove or replace the side section and the still charged me for it
I have called them but the person in charge will not return my call - will not even speak to me
