Review: My car needed a head gasket. The repair work was completed around 4/25/2014 after the car went in for service on 4/9. The head gasket was replaced as requested at an approximate cost of $1166.80. A coolant level sensor at a cost of $69.38 was installed in my car without my prior consent. The mechanic also suggested that a valve job be completed at an additional cost of $595. I agreed to the valve job because he told me that there was carbon building up. After the valve job was completed the valves were noisy. I called [redacted] and he said that he would take care of it. At the beginning of June the check engine light came on. The car was taken to [redacted] to be scanned and the number four cylinder was misfiring. [redacted] was called, but he could not take me for approximately one week. The car was taken back to [redacted] on 6/9/2014. He replaced all of the spark plug wires at an additional cost. The misfiring was gone, but the valves continued to be noisy. The valves were not noisy before the car was brought in on 4/9 and the valve job was completed. The car was brought in again on 6/24 and [redacted] recommended either an oil change or [redacted] at an additional cost. The oil change was complete, but the car still has noisy valves and sounds much worse than when it was brought in. I do not believe that I should have to pay any additional cost to have the problem corrected, because I already paid for the service.Desired Settlement: Since the valve problem has not been corrected, I am requesting a refund of $595(plus tax) for the valve job and $69.38(plus tax) for the part that I did not authorize.
