In response to the complaint on the above ID#, the following are the timeline of events as recorded in my office.">
Contacted 1/9/by email only to get auto insured with our officeDue to coverage selections needed forms signed and returned per state requirementsForms directly related to the coverage’s selected not received so premiums were adjustedReceived notice on 7/09/that the insured requested and the policy was cancelled effective The individual cancelled their insurance with my office effective 6/10/No address change was given to our officeOn 7/9/a do not market was submitted to State Farm for the address in *** (*** *** *** *** *)
The result of the cancellation is that there was unused premium that needed to be refundedRefund submitted to old address (not told of any new address) with two tries and returned10/23/received notice that State Farm a refund was returned undeliverableOn same date the individual was called and message left on voice mail for correct address10/26/individual called with correct address10/30/State Farm mailed notice to the individual that they received from our office the updated information and that it was now correct1/22/received letter from State Farm saying refund was mailed to new address and once again returned1/29/Called individual and left message to confirm address as the updated address had returned the refundAs of 2/11/had not received a call and so made no further attempts to provide a solutionIndividual called office and left message with address (same as what was previously mailed) and also requested to be taken off marketingOn 2/18/new do not solicit was submitted with new addressHad we been notified of the new address the individual would have never received marketing mail to that addressThe individuals rates did not change, but because she did not return appropriate forms as required by the state of Colorado, the coverage’s defaulted as per law and her premium was affectedHad she returned those forms, she would not have seen any rate adjustment during that month policy periodThe individual can now be assured they will not receive any further mailing from this office nor State Farm because the new address has been added to the do not solicitBecause this office is no longer handling any account issues for the individual, she will need to call State Farm Payment Plan, acct# *** at phone# ***, option to verify the information and receive the refundScott Harper, Agent
