Apparently, this gentleman KNOWS NOTHING OF WHAT HAS OCCURRED. THERE WAS NO LEAK. THE $175 WAS JUST TO PUNCH A HOLE IN THE CEILING TO SEE IF THERE WAS A LEAK. AGAIN THERE WAS NO LEAK. ALSO, THERE WAS NO SIMPLE DIGIT-MISTAKE. THE NEW CHARGE WAS MORE THAN $1,750. THESE PEOPLE WILL NEVER WORK ON MY UNIT AGAIN AS THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED TO GIVE THEM A CREDIT CARD. THE MANAGER SHOULD BE FIRED. I WANT THIS PUT IN THEIR FILE SO FUTURE CUSTOMERS CAN MAKE THEIR OWN DECISION AS TO WHETHER TO HIRE THESE FOOLS OR NOT.

I wanted to respond to the complaint from Mr. [redacted].
On October 30, 2015 Mr. [redacted] called our company about a leak he might
have. Our plumber [redacted], advised Mr [redacted] that he had some water
damage. The cost to find the leak was $175.00. [redacted]...
accidently
added a “0” to the credit card machine which came out to $1750.00. Mr.
[redacted] called us right away. I was the one who handled this compliant,
and I apologized many times over for the error. We refunded his money
immediately. [redacted] is one of our top plumbers. He would never try
and rip off someone, especially an elderly person. It was an honest
mistake. We will not be refunding Mr. [redacted] $175.

Review: I am a 68 year old Vietnam Combat Veteran, rated at 100% Disability thru the VA and the state of CA.
I see this as not only FRAUD, BUT ELDER ABUSE. Scott English sent a very capable Plumber, who cut a few holes in the ceiling and then charged me $175.00 which I thought was excessive to begin with. In addition, I had to close the holes at my expense.
Separately though, I just happened to check my Credit Card account with [redacted] and lo and behold [redacted] HAD CHARGED MY ACCOUNT NOT FOR $175.00 BUT AN ADDITIONAL $1,500.00 OR SO. Needless to say, IF I HADN'T CHECKED MY ACCOUNT, MR ENGLISH AND HIS CREW WOULD HAVE POCKETED THAT EXTRA $1500.00 AND HAD A NICE LITTLE CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR.
When I contacted them, they denied everything and said it was a mistake. I find this hard to believe, especially since the Invoice was created, I had a copy of it, which was signed on a wireless device the Plumber had in the truck.
When I asked the office mgr how you can issue an Invoice for one amount and then charge the consumer another amount he had no answer.
I spoke with [redacted] himself (supposedly) over the phone and all he could say was "sorry".
I am very suspect about a company who tried to embezzle money from my CC account and NEVER KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT IT? I DON'T BELIEVE IT.
I feel that this incident should be placed in their file for future consumers to be aware and perhaps save them FROM BEING RIPPED OFF.
In addition, my CC company canceled my card and now I don't have that CC anymore, inconveniencing me even more. Mr. English apparently doesn't really care.Desired Settlement: I would like [redacted] to step up and NOT charge me anything for the insignificant work done and the Embezzlement and inconvenience that was put on me, FOR NO REASON, ONLY SOMEONE TRYING TO GET SOME WORK DONE ON MY CONDO. I am asking for the $175.00 REFUND. Also, this complaint should be placed in the [redacted] file for future reference.
