I received a 'cold call' re: accidental life insurance from scotialife insurance company I was not given a chance to say no I was not interested instead the caller continued to interrupt me and push the sale on meI eventually agreed to a small policyWhat I didn't like was they could automatically bill my visa for this premium Tonight I called to cancel the policy and the service personal who took my call was very [redacted] and [redacted] They required a policy number which I thought I was providing ( I gave him the group policy number) he interrupted me and in a [redacted] tone told me that was the wrong numberSo I procedeed to provide him with a cr and again he [redacted] interrupted me, I admit I started to loose my patients with himI finally found the certificate number which is in the upper right hand corner away from the rest of the numbers on the certificate schedule Once the employee pulled my policy up, he realized my small policy cost me 2.92$ a monthHe made a big deal out of itHe attempted to make me feel guilty that I was stopping a policy that was so inexpensiveHe told me that for 'just cents a day I'm choose not to protect my family'I continued to tell and eventually yell at him to just cancel the policyHe didn't try to ask why I was cancelling it just tried to sell me more insurance and feel guiltyThe reason I'm cancelling it is I was under the impression I bought a life insurance policy not a 'accidental' life insurance policy This is not the first time scotialife has tried to contact me for life insuranceLast time they were just as pushy [redacted]
I received a 'cold call' re: accidental life insurance from scotialife insurance company. I was not given a chance to say no I was not interested instead the caller continued to interrupt me and push the sale on me. I eventually agreed to a small policy. What I didn't like was they could automatically bill my visa for this premium. Tonight I called to cancel the policy and the service personal who took my call was very [redacted] and [redacted]. They required a policy number which I thought I was providing ( I gave him the group policy number) he interrupted me and in a [redacted] tone told me that was the wrong number. So I procedeed to provide him with a cr and again he [redacted] interrupted me, I admit I started to loose my patients with him. I finally found the certificate number which is in the upper right hand corner away from the rest of the numbers on the certificate schedule.
Once the employee pulled my policy up, he realized my small policy cost me 2.92$ a month. He made a big deal out of it. He attempted to make me feel guilty that I was stopping a policy that was so inexpensive. He told me that for 'just 10 cents a day I'm choose not to protect my family'. I continued to tell and eventually yell at him to just cancel the policy. He didn't try to ask why I was cancelling it just tried to sell me more insurance and feel guilty. The reason I'm cancelling it is I was under the impression I bought a life insurance policy not a 'accidental' life insurance policy.
This is not the first time scotialife has tried to contact me for life insurance. Last time they were just as pushy. [redacted]
