I just checked my bank account and they took my next payment 4 days early and they took 2 payments. If you have scotiabank, scotia dealer advantage feels like they have the right to take payments early or whenever they feel like it. Worst lenders ever!
You should have a loan number on your paperwork where you bought the car.
The absolute worst company I have ever dealt with $interest charge on a $645,pmt that was TWO WEEKS LATE!!!! *** They don't pay any attention A telephone call is their only way of dealing A signed document is not valid to them They phone tines/day but dont leave messages and when you do talk to a staff member, 99% of them can't speak English *** *** I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO MY NEIGHBOR'S DOG!!!!!
At the end of my contract term, the last pre-authorized amount due was $140 instead of the usual $300. Scotia Dealer Advantage took $300 instead of $140 and left my bank account (with [redacted] bank) in the minus of $160. When I called, they said it will take up to 10 days to fix it. I asked who was going to pay the $45 charge for a unauthorized overdraft and they said it was my problem. I get it, I should have more $ in my account. BUT this is not my fault. They said their system does not work that way to take a lesser amount at the end of a contract. I asked why? That we are 2016 and this isn't up to day. They said they would suggest it. They refused to make arrangements of $45 right after I just got done paying them $38,000.00. I told them I was wanting to take a new loan out of $40,000.00 and asked if they were willing to give that up over a $45 argument? Still said they wouldn't fix it. Well, I know plenty of people who would take a loan through them if they were suggested to do so. Scotia Dealer Advantage would definitely not be getting a recommendation from me. It's principal, you do not do business this way. I myself own two businesses, I am constantly making things right to keep my returning customers happy. Even on a $20 product. I can't believe SDA would throw it all away over $45. Thank you SDA you did me right, right up to the very end then basically told me to go [redacted]
My husband and I are dealing with this Scotia Dealer Advantage and they took the payment out and put it back into our account..we don't know why when the money was in there. THEN they charge us $50 for n.s.f fees? Why? when the money was in there? Oh and we asked about skipping 2 payments and they said oh ok after 6 months..then we called at 6 months and they said oh its been changed to 9 months. NEver have we dealt with such rude people ..
This company has extremely poor communication with their customers [redacted] Speaking from personal experience it is best to get a lawyer if you have issues with this company. [redacted] You can be a fantastic customer of theirs, never missing a payment for 5 years until something traumatic happens in your life and then they bring out their worst employees and will try to degrade you.
[redacted] They do not have properly trained staff in their collections department and the limited staff they do have will not allow you to speak with a supervisor. [redacted] you will have to get a lawyer to sue them as I have.
I have been dealing with Scotia Dealer for many years for 3 different vehicle loans. My experience with them, the 1 time I had an issue, it was dealt with extremely rudely. I was not able to get a copy of my account, though they promised it 3 times (different people making these promises) I have decided to pay off the amount owing simply to get this unprofessional band of rude people out of my life. I will never deal through this group again.
