On June 7th we shipped the customer's order (a custom made engine management system)On June 19th, the customer's shop called to inform us that a part was missing from the kitWe include a parts list with orders that double check all components are includedWe verified the missing part was
included when the order was shippedDespite this, we offered to ship a replacement component at our cost, and include Priority Mail shipping at our costThe customer insisted that we ship the component by overnight "or he would sue, being a lawyer"We tried our best, and responded to the situation promptly and professionally with a reasonable solution to address the issue at no cost to the customerThe customers response was to demand overnight shipping, threatening to sue, and do a charge back for the full purchase price (the part reported to be missing was less than $30)Perhaps we could have bent to the customers demandsPerhaps the customer could not have taken this to the extreme that it wasHopefully, the customer will be satisfied with the product, and do the right thing to reverse the charge back for the funds of the entire purchase for which has now has, unpaid for
