[redacted] came to us to buy a used car. He picked out a 2004 Toyota 4 runner with 180,000 miles. It ran good when he bought it or else he would not have bought it. Mr. [redacted] took it on a test drive to check it out with one of our salesman. He had the opportunity to take it to a...

mechanic and have it checked our like many of our customers do. Before he signed and took delivery he was offered an extended warranty in which he declined. I then told him it would then be sold as is and he would be responsible for any and all repairs. When signing the paper work he did sign 2 times stating it was being sold as is and he signed those papers willingly as he declined the warranty. I then told him at that point he was on his own if something happed he said he understood. It is a used car with 188,000 miles you just don't know. He did tell us he had left the car running almost all night to dry the seats because it had just been detailed. In my opinion I would never leave my car running unattended that long. Unfortunately what happened to the car from when he took delivery until now is beyond our control. We at Schroeder Auto Sales send our vehicles to a local shop to have a safety and drive-ability check done. We make sure the unit is safe and runs good at the time of delivery. We sell 20 to 25 cars a month with many happy customers. We at Schroeder Auto Sales pride ourselves on selling affordable, safe, clean used vehicles with and optional warranty for these kinds of unfortunate circumstances. Mr. [redacted] knew what he was doing when he signed the as is forms. We did offer to have our mechanic check it out on the first phone conversation but Mr. [redacted] was unwilling to accept the help that we offered.
