not cover defects in paint on pre-owned vehicles.Our dealership did evaluate the vehicle and there was a crack in the paint, probably due to previous paint work done on the vehicle.  We purchased the Camaro at the auction with over 32,000 miles on it and the Auto Check report did not disclose any previous paint work or damage.  We did want to work with the customer and have offered to reimburse the customer half of the cost of repairing the paint.  The customer found this acceptable and seemed pleased with our offer. I believe the vehicle is scheduled to go to the body shop this week for the paint correction.  Thank you for the assistance in this matter. This customer signed a purchase agreement to purchase a 1996 GMC Conversion van on February 19  as an "as-is, no warranty" vehicle due to the age and mileage of the van.  The customer had a concern that the air conditioning was not working properly.  The used car manager put the...

van into our service department for air conditioning repairs on February 22nd and the repairs were completed on February 25th. The customer took the van for a 2 hour test drive to verify his concerns were repaired.  The customer subsequently signed paperwork and paid for the van on February 25th in the amount of $4739. plus tax, title and license.   We have no information on when the air conditioning stopped working after the customer took delivery.  As a goodwill gesture we have invited the customer in to have the air conditioning repaired.  Our service department had charged the a/c system but apparently the system is losing Freon and needs more evaluating.  Our service department is working with the company that originally produced the a/c parts for the conversion van company.  At this point it is unknown how long or even if parts are available since this is an after market system originally sold thru a conversion van company and not a General Motors factory system. We will do what can be done to repair the air conditioning. The customer was given the opportunity prior to purchasing to have the vehicle inspected by a mechanic of his choice and he declined. Thank you for the assistance in resolving this customer's concerns.

worked on it on June 26th. We will be glad to diagnose the vehicle at no charge to the customer, provide a loaner car at no charge to the customer while we evaluate his vehicle, and if something that we did before has failed, we will make the necessary repairs at no charge to the customer.
