It is my hope that they don’t do this to another unsuspecting patient Nonetheless, I accept the resolution Regards, [redacted]

Per my previous response to this matter, I am now in receipt of the signed release from Ms [redacted] and would be glad to respond to this inquiry When Ms [redacted] initially came to our facility, she presented her Univera Senior cardWe do participate in the Univera Health Plan; the insurer stipulated that this plan has a $co-payment for outpatient physical therapy services, and she was informed of this Ms [redacted] stated that she had Medicaid as a secondary insurance, however we informed her on several occasions that we do not participate in medicaid and are, therefore, unable to submit a bill to them for payment The invoice she received reflected the $co-payment for visits that she received at our facility ($280).Upon receiving the invoice, Ms [redacted] contacted our office in an expletive-laced tirade to complain When she told my office manager that she could "shove this [redacted] bill up your a [redacted] the conversation was politely but abruptly terminated I would submit that, had Ms [redacted] exhibited some common courtesy and decency in her approach, this matter might have been resolved much more rapidly and amicably Ms [redacted] has requested that this debt be cancelled, and I will oblige because the debt is simply not worth our effort to collect I completely reject the notion that we "ripped her off" To me, being "ripped off" means that one has not received the value of good/service that was purchased Ms [redacted] received physical therapy sessions for which she paid nothing.I trust this response satisifies Ms [redacted] 's request and this inquiry

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  However, I would like to add that there are some inconsistencies in the business statement.  I don’t have Univera health insurance, nor have I ever.  I have Blue across Blue Shield of Western New York, so I doubt they’re looking at something accurate. There was not one occasion, prior to receiving the bill after my services, was I informed that they do not accept Medicaid. Literally not one occasion.  If you were to access their business records, you would see that at my first appointment they even scanned in my Medicaid card and told me that it was accepted. The business manager confirmed to me that the receptionist scanned my Medicaid card, but “did not know why.”  Why would an insurance card be scanned if it were not accepted? It is my hope that they don’t do this to another unsuspecting patient.  Nonetheless, I accept the resolution.
